Who gives a damn if James Cameron didn't write this part, that part. A lot of movies / t.v series. Have different writers, doesn't make them bad writers. And in this case. I'm loving what they are doing!

If you don't like it, then so what, don't watch anymore. For the rest who enjoyed a nice action packed 1st episode, with a continuing story. Hey we're all for it.

I liked it, but it will probably get canceled. I don't see a lot of people watching it for the whole season. You can't go in thinking this will be the greatest show every, just think hey its a scifi show, acting won't be great, and just watch it to take a break from life for a hour. It would fit in nicely on SciFi on Fridays if it gets canceled and they want to pick it up.

I agree with the general consensus. I went in not expecting too much and was entertained throughout.

The only 2 things I didn't like were...

a) the "Come with me if you want to live" line.
b) Sarah telling the Terminator to holster her "guns". Big mistake! The show would win People's Choice Awards if she were topless the entire time.

I didn't watch the show, frankly it doesn't interest me because I expect it to be quite bad. My question is why does everyone get all bent out of shape when someone else doesn't like the same show that they do? It's not a personal attack, no need to defend yourselves or attack someone for not liking it. All these "Well if you don't like it, don't watch it" comments are so childish.

That first episode was very disappointing.
That whole story was basically T2 retold as the same events took place. Good Terminator protects boy from bad Terminator.
Good T1 and Bad T1 duke it out by throwing each other threw drywall.
Sarah Connor gets hurt so they hole up in a garage to sew her up and give repairs to good T-1.
They visit Davis residence where shootout ensues.

Not only that but the acting was beyond horrific. How many times did we have to see the bad T1 c0ck his head to one side in 'observation'? It looked so campy with a very 'straight to airline video' feel to it.

The only thing that saved this show was the partial nudity.

LOL maybe he was expecting Terminator the Musical?

As for the people who say "well if you don't like it don't watch it" and why do they do it? Because no one wants to hear complaining, it's not about people who like it being "offended" or feeling personally attacked.. If you don't like it then not continuing to watch and complain about it is just common sense.

Yeah....and ONE pilot episode is hardly enough time to do anything more than go "This is Terminator, on tv!" I don't know if people expected them to go super in depth into each and every character, all while having 40 minutes of explosions? That's putting way too much expectation on one episode....at least IMO

I actually thought the show showed a lot of promise. With nothing else on TV, I'm very happy this show came along.

I think the people who enjoy it understand what the show is trying to do. It's just trying to give us a longer Terminator 2 story. More importantly, it's trying to get us more involved in Sarah Connor's life as a mother trying to protect her child. I think that's good tv.

It's unfair to compare television to film. Two very different animals. I love Heroes, Prison Break, Lost, and I would NEVER ever compare them to a film. It's not the same at all.

If it's disappointing to you, I have no problem with you saying so in this thread. That's what the thread is for, really. Say, "I didn't like it," and then state why. I'm cool with that.

However, if you're going to continue to complain about it afterwards then that's a bit overboard. I've seen people continue watching a show they don't like and then post in threads here on OS to complain about it. That's too much. Stop watching the show if you don't like it.

But, it seems to me that most of the conversation regarding the like and dislike of T:SCC has been done in a calm manner. There is some frustation and anger but nothing has gotten personal. So I won't argue really. Damn, I should be a mod so I can say things like this and actually have it mean something.

That's why you're my boy. T:SCC isn't about chasing & a lot of action -- it's about the struggle between a mother and her son who has the burden of the world of their shoulders. It deals with the emotions and connection of Sarah & John. It isn't THAT hard to realize, is it?

I thought it was pretty damn good. I'm a huge T2 fan (I still get teary-eyed at the end!).

It's a fun show. There isn't really a TV show that I regularly watch but I think this one will be. I'm not a huge fan of the Terminator unit chick- I hope they don't work her into a romance subplot because that would really kill the image I have of Terminators.

Maybe not an exact rehash of T2. Last nights episode was basically T2 with different actors portraying each character.

And why did the bad terminator always look pissed-off? I thought they had no emotions. I don't remember Arnold or the Dogget looking like someone stole something from them.

Bad acting, bad dialogue, bad script. I wanted to like this show, but it was pretty brutal.
When I saw them pull out one futuristic doo-hickey after another in the bank vault I just about fell out of my chair laughing.

But I guess there are some shows that are best for just eating popcorn and enjoying. This is definitely a show where you can shut your brain off and enjoy the hot T1, big explosions and bad special effects. At least it's better than the 1000 reality shows out there.

You can count on this. It was pretty obvious that this is the road they're going down. And to be honest, it'd be the most realistic part of the show if John Connors started nailing the T1. After-all, when you were 16, wouldn't you want a hot robot that had to do whatever you told them too? And you could command her to fake liking it. Hot!

Not a crazy fan, but I liked the Terminator movies and I liked the TV show last night. I will be tuning in for Part 2 tonight.
