This movie looks absolutely terrible. When did John McClain, NYC detective learn to fly a F16?! LMAO I hope it bombs like nothing has bombed before.

The past three installments in the Die Hard series have all been rated R by the MPAA. However, Live Free or Die Hard sparked controversy because it was edited to obtain a PG-13 rating. Bruce Willis was upset with the studio's decision and had to say “I really wanted this one to live up to the promise of the first one, which I always thought was the only really good one.” to Vanity Fair. “That’s a studio decision that is becoming more and more common, because they’re trying to reach a broader audience. It seems almost a courageous move to give a picture an R rating these days. But we still made a pretty hardcore, smashmouth film.” Willis later confirmed that it was PG-13, but claimed that if you didn’t know it wasn’t rated R you wouldn’t suspect it because the action and intensity is still there, even though there were less usage of the word "f***". He even claimed that this film was the best of the four by saying “It’s unbelievable. I just saw it last week. It’s better than the first one. I personally think, it’s better than the first one.”

I honestly don't think any Die Hard movie can live up to the first. The original Die Hard is one of, if not the best, hostage/terrorist movies ever made. It's just an overall great movie.

Yes because as all of the best movies it has great villains with depth and who seem interesting who are not simply cardboard cutouts but actually seem to be interesting people. I think that's one huge thing overlooked in action movies but movies in general overall. I can hardly remember the other villains in the other Die Hard movies to be quite honest and that's saying something.

I know, that's exactly what i'm saying!!! He was the best villain who really seemed smart and resourceful enough to defeat McClane. And hence, the best Die Hard.

I think my favorite scene from Die Hard was when Hans ran into McClane and pretended to be one of the hostages trying to escape. That has be one of the best scenes...tension, dialogue, acting, directing....ever

Once on Sportscenter after Duncan made one of his patented bank shots, the anchor person said, in an excellent Eastern European accent, "That's shooting the glass, Hans"

I was LMAO for like five minutes, because I know a lot of people were at home going, WTF??, and all the Die Hard fanboys were busting out all their Hans lines.

Yes, him pretending to be "Bill Clay" is one of the best scenes all time. The way both of them played that scene with such ice water in their vein was so sublime.
