    Re: James Bond 22

I liked the gritty direction Bond was heading in CASINO ROYALE. I just hope they don't muck it up with too many gadgets. I did hear a looong time ago that they're going to bring an updated SPECTRE into the mix. Obviously they can't use Blofeld because of rights crap but hopefully they can make it as close as possible without being sued.

As for DC starring as Steve McQueen in a biopic? I say go for it! He looks eerily like him.

Oh and sad news for Bond fans. The original Miss Moneypenny died this weekend at the age of 80.

Wow, Craig does look like McQueen. Great choice for a biopic.

I don't know why I'm here but I'm interseted in watching Casino Royale...despite the fact that I have not seen one James Bond movie.

Reason being I didn't care for the older ones when I was younger and at the point that I could start caring they had Pierce Brosnan as the guy and I just never really got that.

I have lots of catching up to do.

Is 22 also around Casino Royale's early time frame or does the story take place much later?

watch it. casino royale was my first bond movie, and i've since gone back and watched more. so far, CR was the best. and i think, while modern, bond is young and just starting out.

I'm pumped... Casino Royale was so good, I doubt this one will be anything less than outstanding.

The title of this Bond movie is the weirdest i've ever heard. It ranks up there with Octo***** in that regard. Reading the synopsis however has me VERY excited. This franchise is finally back on track.

I hate Daniel Craig. I don't like him being Bond. He's turned into a dark character. He just isn't like the old Bonds and I have lost interest in 007 now with him being Bond. Of course, I'll still rent it, though, but I disliked Casino Royale.

Bond was originally a dark character. The Roger Moore Era destroyed the Bond character to the point that no one bought Timothy Dalton when they tried to go back to the roots of the character. I know it was unintended but the few years without Bond between Dalton and Brosnan probably saved the franchise from running out of gas.

Daniel Craig and the people behind the scenes have breathed new life into the series and I like that it's a quasi reboot of the series that harkens back to Ian Fleming's vision of the character.

One hour after Casino Royale ends?! Freakin' sweet.

This movie will be incredible, and I like the title.

Yeah, I guess you are right. Sean Connery was pretty dark when I think about it. Maybe it's just don't like Craig as an actor. I don't know.

This movie will be amazing!!! Daniel Craig is the best James Bond in years.

                              Bump.

The teaser trailer is going to be with Will Smith's superhero comedy Hancock to be released July 2nd.
