This movie is going to be awesome. Only a little more than a week.

I love going into movies with absolutely no idea of the plot- I've purposefully stayed away from this thread for this reason. I'll peep the movie review scores at RT and if they're OK (I have low standards), I'll go see this.

I know what you mean however the great thing with the way this has been marketed is that we've seen enough to get our interest peaked and to have a huge buzz going but quite frankly, everyone is still in the dark about the biggest parts of the movie like the monster, it's story, etc. I think it's been genius.

Big rumor making the rounds was that the pic above is the Cloverfield monster...however it's just a concept from Massive Black.

Sadly i won't be able to see this movie opening day, i'm afraid its going to be spoiled if you don't see it quick. The movie has so much secrecy around it, its sure to be revealed

Can you imagine if Abrams decided to never truly show the Monster?

Think about it... the film is being shot entirely using a camcorder and that's what we're seeing ala BWP. It's plausible we never see a real glimpse of the thing.

I'd be pretty pissed... as will others, I'm sure... but I doubt Abrams can match all the hype he is generating.

It's very possible there is no footage of the monster to leak... because there is none.

It's not up to Abrams, he isn't directing. Matt Reeves, the director, has already confirmed that the monster will be seen and seen clearly.

I wonder if we will get any background on the monster at all. They could have a huge licensing property on their hands if done right.
