    yeah, the movie actually turns out to be an exaggerated story told by a survivor to his people. So of course, the persians would look like giant monsters and whatever in the "story".

        The problem with this movie is it changed the history around to make the Greeks look like the good guys in this. I know it's a movie. But forgive me for knowing history. Forgive me for being a black man that found his people being depicted in a way that i didn't like.

                It is all about entertainment first in Holly Wood! Sorry you didn't like the way the movie portray the people, but that is history, while it does suck it doesn't change the fact it happened.

                    I don't like the way white people were portrayed in Night of the Living Dead but I don't gripe about it because it's just a story.

                            I don't think that the Resident Evil Trailer had racist undertones to it. It's just 300 not only made ethnics look bad but it TWISTED THE TRUTH to do it. That in and unto itself makes you call into question why Frank Miller did this. I understand making a movie to entertain but my goodness actually switched the motives of these two groups. He switched them.
                            I could feel him if he just had two cultures going at each other for power. But he made it seem Greeks who he portrayed as White Males Bred to be Superior over any Culture that is not Greek. I know what i saw. I was taught never ever play ignorant to pleasure yourself. I watched it not once but 3 times. Frank Miller was trying to get across a point in this story. He beat the same idea in the head many times through out the film. That is not an accident. I don't scream racism every time blacks are put in a bad light. BUT THIS HAS A PATTERN.

                                    MrScary, remember the story of "300" is told using the Spartan's narrative, who grossly exaggerated the truth.

                                    Remember Pearl Harbor where the "monster invaders" tried to do battle with the magnificent Americans? Same type of deal.

                                            Never seen the movie but it's Brukenheimer Produced film which is always exaggerated.

                                                Think about that had the Spartans as the good guy. Spartans were pretty vicious people. The movie was the view of the Spartans, so I can see why it was like this.

                                                    All your points are valid. I never said the movie sucked. I'm very educated in matters of History. For people who don't know much about history of course your not gonna see it. This is my last post on this. Thank all of you for being adults with this discussion. I wasn't really trying to keep this going but sometimes you just have to make your point.

                                                        I'm sorry one more thing. This is not the view of Spartans of Sparta. It is Frank Miller's view. Frank Miller. He wrote it.

                                                            I virtually had a 2nd minor in history at college. It's been a favorite subject of mine since grade school. Nice way to cop out of a discussion though, by insulting people's intelligence when they don't agree with your view.
