    both shows are great though...
lol ya Bear is entertaining but if the average person attempted the stuff he does, they would probably be dead in a couple hours

Couple of hours? People would try and mimic him and be dead when they saw a cliff for the first time and decided to jump off it because Bear did.

        Survivorman: Off The Grid

Pretty decent documentary. Worth a watch if you have nothing better to do.

Lol, I remember the last thread about this. Got pretty funny for a while. Anyway, I like both shows, and both hosts but Man vs. Wild is more entertaining for me.

Pours one out for Survivorman...this was the last season

However, at the end of the last episode Les was saying that the end of something is always the start of something new. I do realize he's pretty much out of cool survival locations, so hopefully he can bring us some cool new take on things with a new show.

Myabe he can try to immitate some of MvW tactics at his old locations to see how much of a real survivor he is

I think Bear should have to imitate Les for a week and see how well he does by himself.

Entertainment wise, Man vs. Wild easily wins...I don't see how you can argue that. Les obviously helps you out realistically, but that's not why I watch either show. Bear is an animal, both physically and metaphorically. I love watching his show. I don't watch tv for survival tips, although that would be nice. I watch it to be entertained, and I am a lot more entertained when watching Bear than Les.

I understand your viewpoint, i'm just opposite. I don't watch those shows for crazy action by the host. I'm the type that'll watch boring History, TLC, Discovery, Science, etc channel shows in general. I like watching Les survive for a week, watching him set up traps, set up a shelter, start fires, etc. I may learn a bit, and it's just a cool show in general.

I see how people find Bear cool, and like that type of show, but for me it just makes me cringe. Bear is so sensationalistic that it turns me off.

Put me down for MvW. I like both shows and both hosts, but MvW is just a little more entertaining to me. And so what if the show is scripted. When did it become a bad thing for a TV show to have a script?

Bear is a douche. Every episode of his is the same. Skydive into some location (that already has camera crew there waiting), pretend to "find" interesting stuff, and then eat gross things. Oh yeah, and then get helicoptered out to the hotel for a good night's rest. It's over sensationalized BS and even if it wasn't fake, Bear is still annoying.

Say what you want about Les, but he's real, the situations are real and he's not getting any help out there at all. Sad it's the last season, but it's understandable why that is so.

When that show doesn't admit it uses a script until it gets caught.
