        Ah nuts!

Well I hope some of you guys saw it. It looked interesting. I wouldn't say "good" but it was a low res pic anyways.

I'm still on the fence about how I should anticipate this movie. A part of me wants it to be good, but another part of me thinks its going to be a flaming pile of dung.

I've got low expectations going in, but if anything it will be a decent summer action movie......with Sienna miller in tight leather. I'm there.

I am also very afraid that this movie could be a letdown. I loved the cartoon as a kid, but also realize that no one ever died in it, so I do not know how they are going to handle the subject matter of a full on "battle" yet with no one dying or being killed. Does not have to be ultra violent, but hopefully not too kiddie - But with there being toy tie in's with the movie - I am having doubts.

                Bump.
/film has released a picture of what Cobra Commander will look like, according to the movie's toyline.

Man...I hope it looks better on the big screen because that just sucks.

Yeah I agree that's just awful. Why do they try so hard to seperate themselves from the actual things they are taking ideas from?

I don't know, but I think this movie will create chaos and riots in the streets as the tsunami of disappointment ascends over millions of middle-aged males hoping to recapture the nostalgia of watching the cartoons as children.

What people are forgetting in all this is the cartoon was major camp anyway. Red and blue lasers, guys miraculously escape explosions. Crazy costumes and caricatures. This movie will be in the same vein over the top summer action movie. Though CC looks total ***, but i figured that going in.

I don't think people are going to be upset as a result of the level of camp in the film, but in all the ways the movie actually distances itself from the cartoon.

Over the top, fine but the characters are important to the movie and GI Joe itself.

They had a couple of different cobra commander looks to choose from in that light. Why not make him resemble something close to one of them.. but no

They have to go and make him look like a goon from the disney non animated move Ben 10 Alien Force

I really dont like who they cast as Cobra Commander...At first I thought Ledger as the Joker was out of left field (obviously, he proved me wrong) but this casting has me even more worried.

My buddy worked on this film and from what he's sayin its gonna be exactly what you expect it to be...campy, cheesy, and full of CGI....I mean the guy that directed all the Mummies and Van Helsing is directing it, I dont think you can expect anything but camp.

The thing is at least for me. As a kid those cartoons were great, but watching them as an adult. WOW they are cheesy. Just like when I watched the A Team the other day. What the hell was I thinking?
