...probably the only thing that really had me scratching my head.

I got the idea that Hurley didnt want to be the one to break it to walt that his dad was dead.

Michael was being kept alive by the island, making it impossible for him to die. Then right before the explosion occured, Christian appeared and said "You can go now Michael," representing that he [Michael] had finished what the island wanted him to do, and that he could die now.

Michael is dead. Jin, I am not sure.

Makes sense, good thought.

After going back and reading up on the episode something else is interesting now that we know who is in the coffin. Why is everyone referring to Locke as Jeremy Bentham? Also why does Walt refer to Locke as Jeremy Bentham? If no one from the island has visited him, how does he know Locke by any other name other than John Locke. His special powers?

But dont we see Jin try to deliver the panda doll to Sun in the flashforward, or am I getting things screwed up?

That was for a client, not Sun.

The episode just made you think it was for her. Kind of a parallel way of telling the story to throw the viewer off.

Good catch Mike. While I was working out over lunch, I thought about the conversation and was wondering who brought it up first. It then occurred to me that Walt could have. There must be something that happens in-between that leads to everyone to start referring to Locke as Jeremy Bentham. Probably part of the lie they are all telling.

I think Locke was killed in the initial plane crash. That explains how he survived gun shot wounds, shrapnel, etc.

At some point he decides to try and leave the Island like Ben used to but as soon as he gets back to the normal world he instantly dies.

Like others have said already, the moment Locke gets back on the Island he'll be "alive" again in whatever sense he's been alive for the entire show.

Pretty good finale, it was very action packed. I remember about thirty minutes into the show thinking that it was about an hour and a half in, good to see a quality episode last the full two hours.

As a whole it was probably a better finale than S3, it just lacked the enormous "WOW!" at the end like S3. Outside of my ******** prediction that Jack was in the coffin, the consensus had it narrowed down to Locke or Ben so it wasn't too surprising.

But Walt isn't part of the lying scheme so why would he refer to Locke as Bentham? Doesn't make much sense.

Like others have said already, the moment Locke gets back on the Island he'll be "alive" again in whatever sense he's been alive for the entire show.

Then how would he have come back and visited the Oceanic Six? We know he did that.

Ya, that is where I first thought it was odd. I guess something happens between the two periods of time to tie it all together?

Maybe Locke simply told everyone to call him that when speaking about him.
