Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
haha, thats awesome.
I was dissapointed in the finale. They didn't tell us anything that was that major or already had in the backs of our minds (for me at least). I love Lost, but I was expecting more. It's possible that my expectations were too high, as this show it known for its jaw dropping finales.Comment

Hopefully, we learn the fate of the other non-Oceanic 6 characters early in the season so we can start getting some flash-forwards on Sawyer, Jin, Juliet, Desmond (I'm sure he's not done in the story...especially after his and Jack's repeated line "I'll see you in another life Brother"), etc.
BTW...Where the heck is Vincent?Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
Juliet supposedly looks like "her". And I'm going to assume that her is Annie. Charlotte doesn't look like Juliet.
Also, Ben has communication with the outside world. I'd like to believe that he's probably kept tabs on Annie.
What we're now thinking is that Charlotte's story has something to do with women no longer being able to bear children on the Island. She says she wants to know where she was born. I firmly believe that Cuse and Lindeloff (having written the episode) choose words very carefully. She could have said, "I want to know where I'm from." Perhaps there's a connection between birth and Charlotte being the last Island conceived and born child.Last edited by CMH; 05-31-2008, 07:37 PM."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Of course you would have known, season 4 was in Jeopardy form. Season 3 was a great cliffhanger, but I liked 4 a little better.Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
Every LOST finale before this one has been flat out great. The Problem with this one is that because of the flash fowards we already knew what was going to happen, and all they did was show us what we already knew. And they didn't give us any answers except that Locke was in the casket, which at this time doesn't really mean that much.
I don't know whats going to happen, but I think that realisticly, except for Jack none of the six would ever go back to the island.Comment

Jack wants to go back.
Hurley doesn't really have any reason not to go back.
Sayid has no reason to stay since Nadia is dead.
Sun wants to find Jin, get back at Ben maybe.
Locke is dead, so he has no choice.
Ben wants to get back, he didn't want to leave.
Pilot who knows, but maybe he wants to go back to help them.
Kate won't want to go back, she is a problem.
Desmond won't go back, unless maybe Penny comes with him.Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
here are my random thoughts:
-every station has a fail safe to "move" the island in an emergency. remember desmond turning the key, we saw the same glow. i think the island moved at that point, which helped michael and walt get away.
-locke is now in ben's position. he was going to and from the island like ben used to, using aliases. while off the island being jeremy bentham he got caught by widmore's people and was murdered.
-jin is possibly alive, but michael is definitely dead.
more things i can't wrap my mind around right now. i really like the show still and have invested too much time to not stay with it to the end. having said that, MOVING a freaking island? dead people coming back to life? other crap that happens on this show on the regular that are basically impossible? i mean, ben climbs through a hole he blew in the wall and down a ladder and through a tunnel and all of a sudden he goes from a tropical island to an arctic climate to turn a wheel and poof, the island disappears? come on man, i appreciate the show for it's entertainment value, but it has kinda jumped the shark as they say...Comment

It used to be more thought provoking. Now its just so far out there that you just sit back and watch because they have thrown scientific explanations out the window.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
I think its actually the 10 of them (6 + Ben, Locke, Desmond, Pilot). Also Walt may be included also, but he would go back to find his dad/ find out what happened.
Jack wants to go back.
Hurley doesn't really have any reason not to go back.
Sayid has no reason to stay since Nadia is dead.
Sun wants to find Jin, get back at Ben maybe.

Desmond won't go back, unless maybe Penny comes with him.
Just wondering, why do you guys think that Jin might be alive. I'm pretty sure he is dead. Michael as well.
Colkilla, I saw this happening towards the end of this season, and now it is complete. Locke is basically Ben succesor.Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
At first I thought Jin could have survived the explosion, but with the island having moved, I don't see how he would have survived in the water.
I thought the cliffhanger was a bit lackluster, but the final three episodes were more than enough to have me pumped for season 5.
I think the guy above is correct in that everyone has to go back to the island. I'm not sure about the pilot, but everyone else (Desmond, Walt, the 6, Locke, Ben) probably have to in order to reverse whatever craziness is taking place there.
Anyone else think Sawyer and Juliet will have hooked up when they do go back?Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
Yes, Michael is definitely dead and actor Harold Perrineau is claiming racism against Blacks is the reason he was written off the show.
TV Guide: Were you disappointed Michael and Walt didn't reconnect before your character died?
Perrineau: Listen, if I'm being really candid, there are all these questions about how they respond to black people on the show. Sayid gets to meet Nadia again, and Desmond and Penny hook up again, but a little black boy and his father hooking up, that wasn't interesting? Instead, Walt just winds up being another fatherless child. It plays into a really big, weird stereotype and, being a black person myself, that wasn't so interesting.
To me I think Michael's death was great for his character. Very Charlie-like in that he went home a hero saving other people's lives. Most people on Lost go out rather unceremoniously, like Boone, Ana-Lucia, Libby, Nikki, Paulo, Shannon, Eko, Rousseau, Carl, Alex, etc, instead he goes out a Martyr, redeeming himself for his past mistakes. Weak sauce by Perrineau playing the race card where it isn't justified.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
