And also, remember that Wallace was going to offer Jim the job that Ryan now holds (before Jim declined and chose to go back to Scranton)... so Ryan is undoubtedly aware of that and insecure in his position because of it. Jim talking to Wallace behind his back (in what was the aborted Christmas episode I'm guessing, since he mentioned "at the Christmas Party") about Ryan's "pet project" just made him even more insecure. I'm sure the cocaine helps with that paranoia as well.. hah.

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
I thought they could have let up on the gas at the beginning too, with the whole "face print" fiasco. I was getting ready to laugh, but couldn't pull the trigger, even when the end result, an unrecognizable face print (as all face prints in mud are) appeared.
Most of the stuff was great though. Ugly 4 Eyes Pam, Jim getting slammed, Stanley's insubordination, and the Dwight flipping.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
I wasn't. Darryl is cool, but his dialog could of used some work. The whole "tickling thing" was a little too much, even by Office standards. I was so glad Michael didn't confirm full brain deadness by resorting to it.

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
Last week's was still best of the three since returning, but this episode definitely had its' moments. I didn't like the hostile Stanley. Stanley has always been the guy basically waiting it out til retirement and just settling. That exploding on Michael was a bit too dramatic. And I agree with JayBee and the gang tickling from Darryl.....not subtle enough, like the past episodes where he taught him fake words and handshakes.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
Yeah, I agree the whole tickling thing was a bit much, but it's just the writers trying to continue the whole "Darryl misinforms Michael about black culture for fun" angle they've had going on for a couple seasons.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
Well, that being the case, they should have had Darryl have Michael offer Stanley some stereotypic foods as a peace offering or some sort. Could you imagine Stanley's reaction to that? lolComment

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
Hah, kinda like his reaction when they accidentally trampoline-d a watermelon on to his car, lolComment

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
I understand that and I like Darryl (think he should be on more), I just think his misinformation could have been better.Last edited by JayBee74; 05-03-2008, 12:38 PM.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
I liked just about everything about the last episode except for hostile Stanley. That development was just so out of the blue - he's never acted like that before.
I think The Office is shaking a bit of the rust off, trying to get back to 100% before the season ends. I hope we see a Jim-Pam split by then.Comment
