Great opening with the prank on Dwight. The whole episod ewas back and forth, non stop stuff. I thought for sure the cliff hanger would be Pam going to NY ror Philly, or proposing and cutting away, or Jim getting fired.

Be interesting to see what happens with Jim's job and Ryan (and his problem).

I feel like the writer's strike never let them explore some thigns (Andy and Angela, Pam really going away). Ill have to admit, i felt bad for Dwight at first when he looked into the camera and said "It's my fault".

Classic episode, good comedy, good tension and build-up and there was a cliffhanger, just not the one i thought we would see.

That was easily one of the best episodes in the series. It had a little of everything: uncomfortable awkwardness, pranks, a running joke (Kevin as "special"... AWESOME!), relationship stuff, introduction to a new character and story advancement. Can't forget the strange twists at the end.

Have to agree... easily the best episode I've seen in a while!

Kevin being special was easily the most hilarious thing I've seen in the show in a looooong time. "You drive a car by yourself?" "Yeah. Do you drive a car by yourself too?"

Man... the twists at the end were great! I didn't see the whole Dwight and Angela thing coming at all....

THIS is what makes the show interesting. Conflicting love interests, humor, suspense... tragedy to an extent...

Honestly, I was expecting a proposal other than Jim's, but I didn't see the twists and turns that episode took at all.

Michael is an idiot (as usual), but hopefully the HR lady fights for him. That would put an interesting twist on next season.

Funny Ryan got in trouble for something other than drugs. The new HR lady grew on me throughout the show. Best thing was Kevin's wave to the HR lady when he went to the grocery store to get BBQ sauce. It looked "special".

Solid last episode, it has us all guessing what's next. BTW, I hated Ryan's new character. I liked him better as the 'temp".

One of the best episodes in this series...the entire thing was awesome from the very beginning where Jim was messing with Dwight. How long has it been since they had him doing something like that? The Kevin is special thing was hilarious because really, he didn't act any different than he ever does. This finale really set next season up for some good stuff...

Hah, who would've thought that perhaps the greatest prank ever pulled on The Office would come from Dwight? That Kevin thing was absolutely hilarious -- I'm gonna go watch some other episodes with that in mind... haha, the way she basically baited him into responding like a complete idiot is awesome... And the best part is that he's sort of playing it up because he wants to poke her.. so awesome. I love Amy Ryan as an addition to the cast, and I hope that Steve Carrell's presence is enough to keep her on the show as a regular (since she's got a good movie career going). I can't wait for more Michael/Holly interaction (especially considering the decision Michael made regarding Jan) -- those scenes were great.

As much as I wanted that fireworks show and everything else to be the setting for the Jim/Pam proposal, the whole thing being usurped by Andy and Angela's sham relationship was hilarious. The little scene wit Dwight made me feel really bad for the guy -- haha, little did I know that the wheels were already turning in that "big-*** head" of his to get back in that fundamentalist Christian poon.

They did a nearly perfect job with this episode -- it was hilarious overall and set up a ton of great sub-plots for next season, especially considering that Pam is out of town for 3 months and the show is off the air for about that amount of time... that tells me that we won't see Pam in NY much (if at all) and they'll be starting when she comes back into the swing of the regular office (assuming she doesn't find a job somewhere else). The biggest question in my mind is who takes over Jan/Ryan's job -- I don't see Jim taking it unless Pam stay in NY, and if anyone but Jim gets the job, it would probably be Karen... which would cause all kinds of fun situations. That'll determine the whole plot arc for next season I think.

As far as the spin-off, the word is that there is nothing concrete... the only thing anybody knows is that the creators were offered the chance for another show that premiers after The Office in January (part 2 of the season 5, premiering after the Super Bowl). It's not clear whether it will involve a character from the original show or not, so I wouldn't think that they wrote anything at the end of this season with that in mind. If anything, they'd write that in for the last few episodes before the Christmas break (so the premier of the spin-off would coincide with the plot)...

But yeah, great job by the writers this season... considering that they had to skip over a lot of stuff in the Christmas episode, etc., they recovered well and delivered some funny episodes with great plot development. I'd give the season an 8.5/10 -- it's no Season 2, but I think that all the development will really pay off down the road.
