Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
I agree about getting somewhat tired of the "field trip" episodes where everyone (or parts of the office in this case) are out doing something outside the office. It seems like almost all of the episodes except for "Launch Party" were set somewhere else for the vast majority of the episode. I like all the character development and stuff, but it would be nice to have some regular old-style Office episodes once in a while.
And I'm not one of those people who is sick of Jim and Pam or the other relationships -- they're all funny to varying degrees and it adds a more serious element to the show that it wouldn't have had otherwise. But yeah, focusing almost exclusively on 5-6 characters is doing a disservice to the rest of the hilarious actors and characters that get left out... I need some Sad Toby Eyes and some Kevin action.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
Well I just watched every single episode this past weekend (Season 1-4) because I had never really gotten into the show before. I love this show.
I don't think I really noticed what you guys are talking about with "field-trip" episodes, but that could be the result of watching them all at once. The last episode with the dinner party was brilliant.Listen to some of my covers:

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
Well, I was exaggerating, but from the end of Season 3 forward, there were a lot more "out of the office" episodes. But Branch Wars, Survivor Man, The Deposition, and Dinner Party all happened primarily outside the office, so it just seems like I haven't seen Kevin or Toby since the beginning of the season...
But yeah, it's a great show and I haven't gotten tired of it at all. Apparently there are some changes coming at the end of this season (a major character is supposedly leaving), and with the reported spin-off (which premiers after The Office, right after the Super Bowl), I hope the show can keep it up. As long as Steve Carrell is still involved, I'm sure the rest of the cast will hang around -- I'm frankly surprised that he kept with it after the strike just because he's been doing so many movies.
As far as the spin-off thing and a character leaving, I think it'll be Andy, just because Ed Helms is the most capable of carrying a show by himself and is the most recognized actor of the smaller characters. Either him or Darryl, just because a warehouse spin-off would make more sense than anything else... and Craig Robinson is a really funny guy. But I'm not very optimistic about a spin-off either way... I'm just hoping that it doesn't detract form the writing talent and overall quality of The Office...
EDIT: Also, here is a good Q&A (from OfficeTally) with the writers about "Dinner Party" -- has a lot of jokes that probably got missed... I'm going to go back and re-watch it again tonight to check for them -- pretty funny stuff, and a great attention to detail. Makes me wonder what else I'm missing in these episodes...
I asked Tallyhead Nation to post their questions about Dinner Party, and Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky were gracious enough to answer a bunch! I love hearing about all the behind the scenes details. Thanks, Lee and Gene! Q. We found out in the live blog that you two wrote the words to that incredibly … Continue reading "Lee and Gene answer ‘Dinner Party’ questions"Last edited by Stumbleweed; 04-14-2008, 05:42 PM.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 4 ***
The best part of this episode is the overtime scheme. He told everyone in the office that they had to work overtime just to get Jim and Pam over to his house for a dinner party. That is classic Michael Scott.Comment

The Chairmodel. A model in an office-supply catalog makes Michael feel things; to win back Dunder-Mifflin`s parking spaces Kevin and Andy oppose bosses of five businesses.Comment

Hahahha at the land lady getting owned by Scott.
And Andy's green socks.
The Pam/Jim dynamic was actually cute tonight.
The Kevin scene after they got the parking sports back was pretty gripping, I actually felt emotional for a second.Comment
