VMA losses spark another Kanye tantrum

LAS VEGAS - Sour grapes from Kanye West — again. Shut out at the Video Music Awards, Kanye West threw a tantrum Sunday night in front of media and crew backstage as the MTV show was ending.

West, waiting for an elevator in a crowded hallway, began yelling about losing all five categories for which he was nominated.

"That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance," West said, stomping around his entourage and directing his comments at a reporter. "I'm trying hard man, I have the ... number one record, man."

West said he never will return to MTV.

The rapper was nomination for five awards, including male artist of the year. This is the latest in a series of awards show outburst for West. Last year, he crashed the stage at the MTV Europe Awards after not winning for best video.

I like Kanye's music, but his incessant whining about not winning is getting old (as is his constant pulling of the race card).

It's MTV, who the **** cares whether they give you and award or not!? I figure having the #1 song and album in the country would be acceptance enough. I guess his mom didn't hug him enough.

I still cannot get over the irony of a channel which no longer plays music videos giving out awards for music videos. Classic.

Why the hell do people like Amy Winehouse? Really, what do people see in her music?

Talent and style. Plus the girl can flat-out sing, unlike most pop warblers these days who equate screaming and hitting the high notes with singing.

That said, she is a mental train wreck. But I'm not listening to her brain, just her tunes.
