has the new jailbreak mod for 1.1.2 been released yet?

It was a while ago. Or it seems like it, I'm using it. It's not as easy as the one-click method for 1.1.1, though.

Has anybody with an iPod Touch had any problems with their computer recognizing it? When I plug mine in, the computer recognizes it as a camera. I'm trying to use my Touch with iTunes like the classic ones but it's not coming up.

Someone please help!

You can't; The touch does not give you access to the disk space to save whatever you want.

It was a feature that was removed. It's how they "protect" the device from having 3rd party applications installed.

Ya know what's funny. I downloaded the latest the version of iTunes and it suddenly worked. I downloaded some songs and transferred it just fine like the older iPods. But the thing is, it works on MY computer but not my coworkers (who the Touch is for). So he's kinda pissed that it works on my computer and not his, lol.

Looks like I may finally be joining the ipod club.

My 4 year old 30 GB Dell DJ is on it's death bed. It keeps locking up, etc. I think the HDD is going. I'm looking at getting the 8 gig Nano after Xmas, if not before. I like the touch, but not paying that much for it, I'd like a little more than 8GB, but I'm only using 18 1/2 gigs now. So I can cut out a lot of music that I don't listen to, that's just on here. Just don't feel comfortable going back to another HDD player again. I really like the flash memory.

don't know if you've messed around with the touch before but since you dont' want to pay that much, then don't even look at it. I felt the same way and was going to settle for the better value Classic. That is until I played around with the Touch at Sam's. Didn't like the price but I couldn't be happier with it.

Do you really care about video?

If you only care about 8 Gigs, why not look at the re-released 1st gen Nano? Much cheaper. Cool little device.

I could care less about video, it's for music only for me. 8 gigs is really my sweet spot though for music. I figure I have about 5 gigs that I always want on me, giving me about 3 gigs of play room.

Whoa... I just looked and this one is selling for MORE than the now available 8GB video:



That's ridiculous. For that get the new square one for less money.

For just audio I'd tell you to stay away from the touch. The touch is if you want an all-in-one. It's a glorified mp3 player if you just want it for music.

kinda like me having the urge to get a PS3 now but know better. I can't justify the purchase right now. my touch has been for music so far. I have no clue how to put video on it...lol
