looks like ill get this, i got the 60gb video in oct. 05. so i think waiting 2 years is pretty good. how much do you think i could sell a used 60gb in pretty good condition?

I agree on the software part, they can't be touched with iTunes. As much as I love my Zune, the software is where its lacking in big time.

There is a button below the screen. It is the same shape as the iPhone button, except it is a little smaller. This is the only button on the unit (besides the usual Hold slider).
30GB $300, 80GB $400.

iPod deca
Operating system as previously seen in interface videos leaked on MacRumors. CoverFlow is included.
The images purported by GearLive to be the new iPod nano are actually images of the iPod deca.
Built-in Wi-fi allowing access to iTunes MobiStore.
The "Radio" application is included.
Encasing is aluminum, same as iPod nano. (Color scheme reported by 9to5Mac.com is correct)
You will be able to watch videos, just like the regular iPod.
Only available in 10GB format, $250.

iPod nano
Same as previous generation, only difference is the new Operating system, as stated above.
Same colors as previous generations.
Price drop.
NEW 1GB $79, 2GB $119, 4GB $175, No 8GB.

iPod Shuffle is discontinued.

One More Thing

Beatles albums will now be on iTunes. Paul McCartney comes out in a surprise appearance and sings "Hey Jude".

If I didn't already have the iPhone I would be all over that new ipod, but in my case, I'll just wait until my current 5G ipod dies.

pretty exciting stuff though, I love new gadgets.

Thats the new nano.... I'm going to wait until i have one in my hand before i have an opinion on it.

They are trying to make the screen big, but keep it small... only so many ways you can do this while keeping the device nano'ed

How do you make the nano screen bigger without doing something like that? Its really the only design I can think of for the Nano, especially since Apple really plans to start pushing mobile video, which requires a good looking mobile screen. I dont think they look great, but I can understand why its designed like that, and should provide a much better screen than the current nanos.

Yeah, they're pretty ugly, but there is only so much you can do when you want to keep it tiny with a big screen. Although at this point, I'm convinced Jobs could dump in one of their fancy boxes and it would still sell millions in Q4, just like everything else they've touched in the last 5 years.

You make the Nano touchscreen and widescreen.

That thing is just ugly. Reminds me of these cheap knockoffs you can find anywhere in Chinatown here in NYC.

Yes, I know, I make it sound all so easy.... but there's your answer. People aren't going to want to watch videos on that tiny thing... it can't be larger than 2 inches. And that was the initial draw of the Nano.... my music, on the go, wherever with a very small sized player and decent storage space. They're trying to do too much with the Nano... it's no longer "nano" sized.

Oh I agree 100% dagger, I just can't get over how ugly those look. Maybe it's just the picture quality, but man it looks so "old" as opposed to something cutting edge.
