I loved Marshall trying to cover for Ted by pretending not to know Stella hadn't had sex in 5 years.

LOL. The awkward pause right before that just made that scene so much better.

And Lili's San Francisco "sex" story was hilarious.

Ted is the one keeping me from really liking this show, he's just so soft. I've yet to have a real laugh out loud moment with him. On the other hand, all the other characters crack me up.

It's pretty clear this is the 20 something generation's version of Friends, which is probably another reason I can't fully get into the show. Has a little bit of a "been there done that" feel for me.

I agree on the Ted assessment. He's not my favorite character on the show and sometimes he comes off as being a little bitchy, but he has his moments.

I agree on the Ted assessment. He's not my favorite character on the show and sometimes he comes off as being a little bitchy, but he has his moments.

Ted's like E on Entourage. Bitchy and annoying, but not so much that I'm gonna stop watching the show. The other characters make the show.

That's what Whitney Matheson (USA Today Pop Candy blogger) said too...I agree, while I liked the episode, it wasn't quite as funny as past ones. Britney didn't work as well this time, at least for me. I didn't laugh as much when she was being stupid, whereas I'd normally laugh at those points in this show. She just was "eh"...I just hope she's gone after one more episode (you gotta think they'll show her in the middle of the night going somewhere looking for Ted).

I actually liked Ted in the last episode, with the boots thing.

Personally, I think they need to keep Barney in the background a little bit more. He's getting to be like Kramer was with Seinfeld where he's a great side-character, but he loses his appeal as a main character, IMO. Also, seeing more of Marshall and Lily would be better, they're probably the best part of the show, I love their chemistry and Marshall is hilarious.
