If anyone is worried that this show won't live up to the pilot, you clearly haven't seen the amazing second episode with the dandelion cars. This episode, if it's even possible, improved on the pilot and is now not just the best new show, but one of the best shows, period. I'm not ready to say that it is better than Lost or Friday Night Lights yet (after all, it has only been 2 episodes), but it is definitely now appointment TV.

Thought tonight's episode was great as well. Anna Friel = Nice.
With the exception of Private Practice, ABC has a great Wednesday night with Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I don't watch Private Practice (or Greys even), but Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money are two of my favorite shows this fall. Daisies is different and has me hooked (I agree, Anna Friel has that something, just gets you). As for Dirty Sexy Money, it's just a cool premise and actors. Helps that I really like Peter Krause too.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Just watched last night's episode online. Amazing.
Everything about this show is amazing including Friel. The musical score is a great addition as well.
Still haven't caught DSM. I might spend my Sunday catching up online."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I love how Dandilion Car President chased them down with a hummer. Great show, I'm glad it is getting a lot of praise now so it'll keep it around. I'm currently watching Firefly for the first time and I'm disapointed how badly this show was treated by fox.
I really love the flashbacks how they are cartoony and the narrator really sets a good mood when watching the rest of the show.Comment

Firefly is on my to-do list. The great things I hear about it and then FOX killing it.
Joss Whedon is a great tv-guy so I don't doubt the show's greatness.
Back on topic...I agree about the flashbacks. I love the tone of the entire show. There was a point in the episode that I felt it was getting a bit dark and I felt a bit scared. All of those dead bodies in the room. Man, that kinda freaked me out. But then it's done so well because it goes from that to making me feel sad for certain characters or happy for others."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: The Best New Show: Pushing Daisies (ABC)
Its a show for adults wearing a family friendly guise. The nature of the show IMO, doesn't lend itself to a very long life span, but I think it can be outstanding for maybe a year or two.
In fact I kind of wish is was on HBO, or Showtime, or Sci-Fi or some station where there were only 13 episodes in a season. I think this is the kind of show that would work best with in that shorter season format.Jordan Mychal Lemos

I like this show alright, but I still don't like the narrator. I bumped it off my DVR for this week because there was something else I wanted to watch, but I'll still will watch it at abc.com.

Really a shame because I really like this show."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied.
