I agree, Olive is fine as hell.
Another good episode last night. The acting on this show is superb. Some of the best I've seen.Comment

I read that entire interview in her voice. Just couldn't avoid it."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: The Best New Show: Pushing Daisies (ABC)
The Pie Maker has their recap of the Pushing Daisies panel at Comic-Con with the cast and creator (Bryan Fuller). There are some minor spoilers, so read at your own risk. They have audio from the whole thing, and will have video up soon.

SpoilerIs anyone else as psyched as I am that Debra Mooney is playing Emerson's father? I also loved hearing Anna Friel coaxed into speaking in her British accent.Comment

Re: The Best New Show: Pushing Daisies (ABC)
The ratings were good, and of course the Emmy nominations helped. I think they would have been crazy not too.
Now I just hope they keep the ratings up. It's been off the radar for awhile, but fortunately it's going to stay on Wednesday (which is especially good given how crowded nights like Monday are going to be).Comment

Great show. Re: The Best New Show: Pushing Daisies (ABC)
I just watched my recording, and the first episode was on-par with the first season. Olive in the confessional asking to be forgiven because she was going to file a police report to get her stuff back was hilarious. As was Emerson's editorial comments as he listened into Ned and Chuck's conversations from the car.
I loved the banter at the morgue and Emerson handing over a bribe when told "it's not like you're going to have a conversation with dead or anything."
It's going to be interesting to see where the go with the return of Ned's dad.Comment
