Not a small band by any means, but Jimmy Eat World has a new disc "Chase This Light" coming out on 10/16.

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
Coheed and Cambria have two new songs on their Myspace that'll be on their upcoming album.
I really don't know what I think. I'm kind of nervous for this album. The last one atleast, then the rest grew on me. This one, I'm just not feeling it as much.
God how I miss the screaming from the first two albums. I'd kill to have that back.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
Submersed
They recently released a new CD as well about a month ago titled "Immortal Verses". "In Due Time" is one of the better rock CD's I have listened to in quite some time. They have a very original sound, which is very prominent in the song "Hollow", one of my favorite songs of all time. Donald Carpenter has a rediculously good voice as well, as he can go from very quiet to almost screaming at the snap of a finger.
Their newer CD "Immortal Verses" is a little lighter than "In Due Time", but is still a damn good CD. You know a band is good when although their second CD doesn't quite live up to the first, it is still better than anything else you've heard this year.
Must Downloads:
"Hollow" - off "In Due Time"
"Flicker" - off "In Due Time"
"Divide The Hate" - off "In Due Time"
"You Run" - off "In Due Time"
"Sarah & Johnny" - off "Immortal Verses"
"Price Of Fame" - off "Immortal Verses"
"Rewind" - off "Immortal Verses"
"Answers" - off "Immortal Verses"

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
Kearnzo,
I like the Submersed guys!
It's nice to see someone else that digs them as well.
What I'm listening too currently:
Black Light Burns "Cruel Melody"
The guitar work and singing is being done by the former guitar player of Limp Bizcut, Wes Borland. This CD has really nothing in common with his former band. They have sort of a techno rock feel to it. The co-producer was Danny Lohner of Nine Inch Nails fame.
Black Light Burns's profile including the latest music, albums, songs, music videos and more updates.
As for a pop rock band that EXTREMELY well produced.
Platinum Weird.
"Will you be around" is slickly produced.
They have links off of the page to their unreleased CD.
I'm also listening to new CDs from...
Fuel, Puddle of Mudd, and Alter Bridge.
Not to mention the lighter side of me is listening to Bon Jovi's current CD.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
I don't think these guys are well known, but if they are well good for them..
Volbeat, they are from Denmark, Mainly Rock/Heavy Rock, very fun music to listen to plus a great singer, kind of a mesh between James Hatfield and Elvis..You'll get if you'll listen to them..
They got 2 CDs out, you can listen to 4 songs on their myspace, and a couple more on their site.
http://www.volbeat.dk/pages/main.html - Plus a cover of " I Only wanna be with you"
I think thats the most I've ever written on OS..
Hope you'll like them."And there it was, mountains of duck."Comment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
I do love Submersed though. Have both of their albums. Donald has a ridiculous amount of control over his falsetto. I usually prefer it when a rock singer doesn't go into their falsetto all too often, but his is a damn weapon! There is no way he should ever do a song without going into it 4-5 times.Comment

You obviously haven't heard Hurt - Vol II if that is how you feel(best album that has been released in my lifetime IMO).

As for Donald's voice, completely agreed. It's amazing to listen to him, especially on songs like Hollow, where his voice is all over the radar. He's got crazy talent, along with the rest of the band. Very original sound (mainly on "In Due Time").Comment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
Honestly, i've never heard any of Hurt's music. I've heard really good things, but have never gotten around to listening to them. Gonna have to give them a shot.

It's not bad, but it's not like the first CD.
HURT is a VERY COOL band!!!
I have both Volume 1 and Volume 2. I still like Vol.1 a little better, but Vol.2 has some decent songs as well.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment
