I kinda disagree with the idea of hate crime enhancements. I believe that in a society that is trying to rid itself of intolerance and racism...why play to the bad guy? Murder is murder. Rape is rape. Kidnapping is kidnapping. Torture is torture. I don't care if you are white, black, brown, yellow, or green...a human is a human. I think the penalties for such crimes should be so stiff that an "enhancement" isn't needed.

This has been my mentality for years. The more unbearable punishments should definitely be for those who do wrong to their fellow man. It shouldn't be whether it's against another race or anything. However, I think that crimes that were committed against those who consider themselves homosexuals have had an influence on the reduction of crimes against that community. I'm sure that it has reduced since the subject has been brought to light.

These people should be charged with a hate crime, but at the same time, it goes both ways and I don't know how the "Jena 6" don't face hate crimes, but if we discuss that, I'm sure it will get locked.

Not really discussing this but are you speaking about the guys with more melinin or less melinin?

On another note about this topic, those people have had over 100 charges issued to them by the law. They all have previous rap sheets about stuff deailng with this. Is there note a 3 strikes type of thing that exists?
