I tried to "focus" and get it to look like it's going counter clockwise, I couldn't.

I FINALLY GOT IT!!!!

Focus on the knees, and you can see it go both ways. Just try to imagine the swinging leg behind and in front of the vertical one. I can make it switch at will now, even going back and forth each half cycle. I revoke everything I said about the image changing.

I feel so empowered now.

Odd. If you were to ask me by description, I'd say I'm much more left brained (safe, math and science, practical, forms strategies, facts rule etc...). However, I can't see the dancer going counter clockwise. It's always clockwise.

We are capable of tapping in to both sides of our brains, I think thats why some say the way they see her spinning doesnt describe them the best.

Focus on the shadow and you can trick yourself into seeing her spin either way. Really trippy.

LOL, you can't trick your brain.

It's not that you can't use both sides of your brain. One side is just more dominant than the other, and most likely the side you use the most is what you initially see.

Again, check the responses (left vs right brained people in here) how some rationalize what they see, and some go with the flow....lol

It's not that you can't use both sides of your brain. One side is just more dominant than the other, and most likely the side you use the most is what you initially see.

Last night when I FIRST looked at it, it was going clockwise and today when I FIRST looked at it, it was going counter clockwise. When I go awhile without looking at it and then comeback to it, it always switches on me without me trying to make it switch. Its crazy.

It definitely does not "switch"....it's how you perceive it.
I brought my wife to look at it at the same time as me.
Me.....clockwise and nothing else.
Her.....counterclockwise and nothing else at the same time.
We are now getting divorced because of this...THANK YOU KDRE!
