Me and my brother set-up shop at BestBuy at 5:30pm last night. It was so windy and cold. There were 35 people ahead of us and the line got started at 1pm.
We ended up being #27 and 28 of the 42, $230 Toshiba laptop/printer bundle. And #19 and 20 of the 32, for the emachines Desktop bundle.

Also picked up a few copies of Xbox 360 game, Gun for $5 and couple of Madden 07 for P3 for $10. Gonna take a shot at selling them on ebay.

Felt bad for a few people that initially were in a tent, but then went back to their cars to sleep. Slept through the handing out of tickets...nobody could find them.

The price match is a good idea. I wonder if that will work at Best Buy?

Not the one in my town. I went there first but they said they would not price match any Black Friday ads. Long live Wal-Mart!

Nice. Usually there are disclaimers on the Black Friday ads that say that they refuse to price match for these sales, but congrats on being able to pick one up.

By the way, is it just me or is this day just full of idiots in the stores? I just want to get in, pick up my games and get out. But the parking lot is almost full and the aisles are littered by people who are just wandering around looking for great deals. That's why they send out the flyers.

I was able to get in and out of Target in about 10 minutes but was plenty frustrated by people with no regard for anyone else just strolling around or stopping and blocking everyone's way.

Agree 100%. I waited until 10:30 to venture out, hoping that would give the idiots enough time to disperse. No such luck --- I ran into the same type of experience that you described.

Circuit City decided to be...Circuit City. I go to the TV section to pick up some $18 24 and some $15 Gilmore Girls. There were 0 copies of 24, and 2 Gilmore Girls, but they were Seasons 5-6 which were the only 2 not on sale. And it's not like I got there late, there wasn't even room for them.

it was at my walmart, seasons 1 through 5 for 20 bucks each. with plenty to spare

Picked up the 32" inch polaroid HDTV at walmart for $448. I got there at midnight and luckly they are a 24 hour store, so i just hung out. Turns out i could have got there at 4 and still got the tv but oh well i needed to make sure i got it. Let me just say it is well worth it. TV is beautiful.

I didn't go there until about 1:30 (PM) and it was just horrible, glad I didn't bother to go this morning like I originally planned.

I have one for NBA 2k8 for XBox 360. They had rainchecks out for all the games on sale that were gone. I picked up the last Gears of War and got my raincheck for 2k8. It's good at any Target until 1/8/08.

So much for consistency. I called my local Target and the lady said they would not be giving any rainchecks for any of the advertised items. I still may go tomorrow. Hopefully she did not know what she was talking about.

Honestly I was pretty surprised to see them, but maybe since it's a 2-day sale they're giving them out on those items? Or my local Target just messed up.

They just had them laid out? I am going to try tomorrow and see what happens.

Since it is a two day sale maybe they will stock some tonight for tomorrow, worth a shot.

I bought me and my wife 2 Sony laptops from Best Buy for $399. They're pretty sharp, thinking about throwing another gig of ram in it to double it to 2 gigs.

Since it is a two day sale maybe they will stock some tonight for tomorrow, worth a shot.

They were in the games' spot inside the glass cases, so I had to have someone unlock it and grab it for me, couldn't just grab one but it was obvious they were available just by checking the cases. And they had them for all the special games on all platforms that were sold out because the lady after me had at least 3 rain checks in her hand and got one for CoD4 on 360 and a Wii game.

My brother got the Sony as well. We didn't stick around to have them check it for functionality.

I've set both mine, and my wifes up. Uninstalled Norton, etc, tried to optimize Vista the best I could. So far were getting about 3 hours or so of battery life with some optimized settings. For the price, not bad at all. Gonna venture back out tomorow, and try to get some cheap ram from Best Buy if they have any more in stock.
