Re: Zune vs. Ipod Classic
With the previous model FW and software, this wasn't possible. Not too sure if it has changed with Zune2.Comment

Re: Zune vs. Ipod Classic
So with the Zune, you can't just use it like an external hard drive and transfer files in Windows Explorer? I was thinking of getting one of these because of the 360 compatibility, but I absolutely loathe having to use a program to transfer music, especially if it isn't iTunes (since I use that to listen to music).Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

aholdbert mentioned that he rips all his music in itunes and then makes sure that the same folder is being shared with the Zune software so his music could get tagged properly when being loaded into the Zune. This way you can listen to it from both.Comment

Re: Zune vs. Ipod Classic
I dont think you can. The major Mp3 player makers (Apple, Sansa, MS) dont want to allow that because they believe it encourages piracy.Comment

Right, you can't use it like an external HDD.

Keeping all files in one folder also helps if I ever decide to go back to an ipod.Comment
