Here are some hits Michael wrote: Don't Stop Til You Get Enough, Wanna Be Startin Somethin, Beat It, Billie Jean, We Are The World, Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Heal the World, Black or White, Will You Be There, Remember the Time, Dangerous, Scream, Stranger in Moscow, They Don't Care About Us, Earth Song, Whatever Happens, You Rock My World, Speechless

I agree that his vocal range has changed over the years. It's been 40+ years as he is almost 50. Can't expect anyone to sound like they were 30 years ago.

You're right to a degree but he was never the MAIN writer of most of his big hits. Actually that was one of the main reasons why he split with Quincy Jones as he contended that he should get more credit then he actually got. Perhaps he did contribute more but as it stands it's pretty much a "he said, she said" deal.

As for vocal range....Let's not get into that BS. Frank Sinatra sang very much in the same range for 60+ years fer cryin' out loud! If Frankie boy can do it so can Michael. However he may have screwed up his voice forever with all those nose jobs.

As for the fact that Jackson is working with Kanye West on a new album....that's gonna be might interesting. I wonder if MJ will be spitting out hip hop harmonies LOL

I don't know how many people have heard this song but this is one of the best "recent" songs I've heard by him:

Show me who was the main writer on all these hits then. I named songs that he was the main or only writer of, and there are many many more that most here would not know.

Vocal Range: I was replying to a comment that MJ has sounded a certain way on his recent work. He has sung songs in so many different ways over the years and sounded amazing. His versatility is ridiculous, but he has used a different sound more recently. Okay Sinatra sang a certain way for 60 years, but he could never sing the songs Michael has. Michael goes for a particular sound/feel on each album.

Great song. "Stranger in Moscow" from the History album. If you want to hear something more recent, try "Whatever Happens" featuring Santana (2001).

I can seperate the 2. They are one & the same. I think I have an advantage over most posters here. In that the MJ I knew was never this cartoon that he is now. MJ didn't change from Peter Pan to a skinny frankenstein until I was well into my adult years. So when I listen to his hits & view his videos, I'm seeing the talented entertainer in my mind. When he's in the news now, I'm seeing an ICP reject. The only time the 2 mesh is when I hear his early songs w/the 5. Then I'm saddened that kid is now a nightmare.

That's a damn shame. He was left out of the will for a reason. 15K/month is more than enough to live on. Joe probably thinks he's entitled to the whole damn estate.
