My only point is that HDTV's aren't this expensive luxury people are making them out to be. If you have a job and can save some money chances are you can have an HDTV if you make that decision.
Gotta agree. There's no real reason why if you like to watch television, you can't have HD.

I excluded them because most people arent willing to wait in line in the cold on the off chance (Each CC had about 10 of those) that they can get them. Dont switch it up. You said that u should be able to get an HDTV unless ur dirt poor and I said when I was making 40K i couldnt afford to buy a decent one. I also said a decent HDTV is 23 inches or above imo. 40K isnt dirt poor but its not enough to by expensive luxury items especially in the area I live in.

Don't get me wrong....when you have one, it's definately hard to live without it. But if you get use to going back watching and playing a nice SDTV for a while, than you realize it's not that big of a deal. That's what happened to me. I thought I was going to die when my roommate moved out with his HDTV. Then I got used to a SDTV and really, once you get over the adjustment period....it's just a TV.

Now I have my 20" LCD and am back to loving it.

But you have to admit when you first turn on the HDTV with your 360 or whatever system hooked up and you notice the difference...you smile...big

And my point still stands though that if you want one you can put in a little effort and savings to get one. The fact is that HDTV's now cost about what "regular" TV's cost just a few years ago so if you could afford a tv in the first place then you should be able to afford an HDTV by now

A man can live by eating dog food but that don't make it desirable now does it?

Haha. I just tried to talk to my mom about getting an HDTV today and it didn't go to well. She ended up getting mad, telling me we don't need one and she's tired of me talking about them, and telling me that if I wanted one, I should go out and buy one. My parents just don't understand that an HDTV is better...

Yeah, it's really getting to "realistic" pricing for people...Give it another year and it'll be crazy cheap for a big LCD.

I have 2. A 40" Samsung LCD, and a 19" Samsung LCD. The only reason I bought the 40" though was because I was working at Best Buy at the time and got a pretty good deal with my employee discount.
