Re: Steven King's "The Mist"
I want to see this really bad, as I love Stephen King and have heard for the most part that this is a very good movie. Unfortunately I can't find anyone else who wants to go.
It's a shame. Two of the best movies (from what I've heard) to come out in a while - The Mist, and No Country for Old Men - I want to see, but can't find anyone else who wants to go. Even the box office has been a struggle for these two, as neither has cracked the top 5.
Kinda says something about today's moviegoers, IMO.Listen to some of my covers:

Re: Steven King's "The Mist"
I wouldn't be surprised if people are staying away because of how badly 1408 flopped.
But the director on hand should be reason enough to view it and that's why I want to see The Mist.
Mist, I Am Legend, and No Country for Old Men are on my want to see list at theaters."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I guess you DO learn something everydayPeople are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Just wondering...I'll see movies with a girlfriend or friends at times, but I don't mind seeing stuff by myself too (like Saw 4, other horror movies, whatever)...
I don't really talk during movies so aside from the general social nature of a night out, I'll go by myself if I really want to see something.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Do you always see movies with someone?

If I wasn't so busy with school I might have an easier time just going. I'll probably go Friday and see one cause I don't have class.Listen to some of my covers:

Gotcha...not ripping on you, I was seriously just wondering...I have some friends who really cannot see a movie alone, and they think i'm nuts when I go out by myself...Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Steven King's "The Mist"
I'm all for watching movies alone. It's what I do at home, anyway. I can't stand people that talk during movies and it seems like no one I know follows the rule of silence when the lights turn low.
I'll probably go and watch The Mist by myself. Might enjoy it more that way."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Shoot, my girlfriend finds LOST too scary for her tastes, so pretty much any horror movie is out for me in terms of a date.Listen to some of my covers:

Re: Steven King's "The Mist"
The ending is one of the most gripping pieces of cinema i have ever seen.
There are roughly 3 count them 3 moments of brilliance at the end.
the whole movie was extremely good, but the way it resolved was very realistic.Brand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

Re: Steven King's "The Mist"
LOVED THE MOVIE- ending was GREAT
I read Steven King's the Mist like around 8 years ago back in high school and i thought this would make a great movie.
Sure enough they made a movie and it turned out better than the actual short story. I do wish they had fleshed out some of the details though at the end.
I would recommend reading Dean Koontz the Taking. That novel will blow you away if you liked The Mist.Comment

Re: Steven King's "The Mist"
Yep no prob
Basically same premise- ordinary people trying to survive when Earth goes to hell in a handbasket. Some of the scenes will make the hair on the back of your neck rise
It was about a 300 page book and i was done in like a day. One of those can't put it down until you read the next chapter books.Comment
