Re: Spice 1 in critical condition after being shot
I apologize to anyone I might have offended with my insensitive remark. It's easy to forget there are real people involved with this stuff sometimes. My bad, guys. Won't happen again. I'm the reason this thread has veered off topic and that should never happen. Please get back on topic, guys.
Much appreciated Tj.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Spice 1 in critical condition after being shot
I feel like there's a new thread at least every week about a hip hop artist who has been shot. I don't mean this in any cynical, joking way, but it's really sad to see. Seems like there's too much of this going on, and I can't help but wonder why guns are so highly promoted in the music when things like this are happening so often.Listen to some of my covers:

Re: Spice 1 in critical condition after being shot
Spice 1 was discoverd by Too Short in the late 80's.He had really only a couple of big rap songs "Welcome to the Ghetto" and "Strap On the Side" as well as "Trigga Gots No Heart".His best cameo was on E-40's classic "Dusted and Disgusted.Great rapper until he left Jive records and then it became just more of the same ol.Still he never sold out just to sell more cd's.
When you glorify death and violence, drugs, etc. what else is to be expected?

Re: Spice 1 in critical condition after being shot
Alot of rappers aren't glorifying violence or drugs. They are simply putting what they see and go through into words that's all.Their version of it all is no different really than the news reporting death after death in Iraq or covering Wars for weeks.Yeah, what these rappers have to say may not be important to you,but it's a way out of the lifestyle they portray for them.Take into consideration where alot of these rappers live or how they are brought up before you judge them.Sometimes circumstances leave them with little choice.Comment
