The Tom Tom One LE is on sale this week at Best Buy for $139. According to their website, the regular price is $249.99. I looked at them yesterday, it looks like a nice unit

So all you have to do is walk in to the store, buy it, turn it on, and you're good to go? No monthly fees? If I'm reading this correct that's awesome and I'll have one in a month.

If you can fnd a Mio c320 for cheap. Best thing is you can update it online to do text-to-speech. TTS is usually only found in GPS's in the 300+ range.

I got mine for $150 at Radioshack before I knew it could do TTS. With the upgrade it's definitely worth the money.

Oh yeah, it also doubles as a MP3 player, but you'll need a 2.5" to 3.5" adaptor if you want to use standard headphones.

159.99 for a Nav Man navigator on Woot.com today (and only today). As of now they still have them up. I have no idea if it's decent or not, but figured I'd mention it.

Thanks for the help fellas, I ended up getting the TomTom ONE 3rd ed.

I couldn't find it anywhere in a store, all the store employees said it was one of the hottest items of this holiday season. Fortunately I was able to get it online through Circuit City, I was starting to get nervous there for a second.

Nice choice. I ordered the TomTom One LE from Best Buy on black friday but ended up paying the difference of $30 to get a GPS that does TTS.

i was thinking bout getting the garmin nuvi 350...since its so popular...but its so expensive! i'd feel leery of having someone break into the car and steal it.

any other cheap gps systems have text to speech??

I just got this one as well. Couldn't find it anywhere at a reputable place online or best buy, circuit city, etc. Finally found it at a Target near my house even though their website said they were out of stock. Paid $150 which I thought was a decent price.

Sorry for the duplicate thread I posted, but wasn't sure how to search for GPS since 3 characters is too short. Never understood why the mods here don't use the merge thread feature.
