Recently, I've been having my sister cut my roommate's and my hair. She's actually pretty good, but the clippers we have suck really bad. My roommate and I are willing to spend a little more on some decent clippers so we can get free haircuts. The thing is, I don't know the first thing about finding some good affordable clippers that will do a good job of cutting our hair. Any suggestions?

We bought a pro set from wallmart. It comes with a bunch of length add ons along with a electric clipper, combs, and scissors. I have forgot what the price was though. I do no it was a good deal or else we wouldn't have it.

You guys are confusing me with your blacks and your whites, lol.
My roommate is Black, I am White/Iranian, as is my sister (the person cutting).
I just get my hair clipper cut, don't really mess with scissors. I really don't want to buy two sets of clippers!
Is this the set you're referring to SoMiss?

You could go my route. I have a set of Andis Styliner II's and a set of Wahl 5-Star balding clippers. I used to bald my head with the Styliner II's until the blades became dull. Now I use the balding clippers for balding my head and the Styliner II's for mustache trimming and beard trimming, when I attempt to grow my psuedo beard.

You definitely want to make sure you get something with a guard for blending and a something sort of sharp for defining a nice edge.

I cut alot of hair on the side, but I actually have my license......
out of the 50+ heads ive cut, ive only cut one white guys head, and he was getting a ceasar so it was no big deal.....
IMO, its a big difference.....

I have no doubt that it's different, but we don't do anything too complicated. A fade is the most complicated I'll get.
We have this barber shop down the street (black-owned), the guy has this sign saying he "cuts all races". I should just ask him what he uses.Comment
