Hogan. There's an entire generation of kids now who have only a very faint idea of Tyson.

The Hulkster has sustained his popularity into this decade through his reality show, family problems, etc., etc. Tyson has largely faded off the map.

I would say Hogan is more recognizable. I pretty sure other Countries know who Hogan is.

Tyson by far. Hogan never made CNN, ABC, or CBS front page news. Tyson has.

I would say most people under 20 might not KNOW who Tyson is.

Great point. Hogan was not just an American figure.

I guess you forgot the Steroid scandal in 1993. He and Vince McMahon's names were all over the news! Hogan has also been a guest on Larry King Live multiple times and is also the only wrestler to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

                          Re: Who's More Famous?

Hogan. He put Wrestling on the world map and will always be the most famous wrestler of all time throughout the world. Boxing has been big long before Tyson was born.

Wrestling was televised every week where he was more expose and I guarantee Hogan has sold more pay per view events and WWF dvds than Tyson ever will with boxing. Hogan is probably one of the sole reasons that most fans of wrestling are fans of wrestling.

Among sports fans, it's close. Non-sports fans, Hogan. Outside North America, Hogan in a landslide. There are Hulkamaniacs everywhere, brother.
