Re: The Wire-Season 5
I watched episode 2 on Demand
SpoilerWell, it seems Marlo is finally doing something stupid. I can't believe he just did not just walk out when AVON comes out to talk to him instead of Sergei. McNulty has gone over the edge. You can just tell with Carcetti's pulling of the Major Crimes team off the Marlo murders and his drinking that he doesn't care anymore. It's funny because the FBI wanted the Clay Davis case but Carcetti said no and The cops wanted to the Marlo Murders but Carcetti pulled the team off it. I get the feeling the 2 will change course before the season is over.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Sergei and Avon made it clear that the only way Marlo was getting to Sergei was through Avon. The only way Marlo gets to the Greeks is through Sergei. If Marlo walks out he never gets to the greeks because the only other way to talk to them is through Prop Joe and he's trying to go around him. Marlo was thinking big picture and 100,000 to Avon is nothing compared to the money he will make by cutting out Prop Joe and going straight to the supplier.Comment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
SpoilerKGX, thats why I say it was dumb for Marlo to talk to Avon. Avon really wanted to kill Marlo in season 3. To me, this is his best chance to do thatfollow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
SpoilerBut it's also a chance to take the entirety of the Baltimore drug trade out of Prop Joe and the Co-Op's hands, which far outweighs any bitterness between Marlo and Avon in my estimation. Avon has always hated the East Side dudes and Prop Joe especially (Stringer working with Joe absolutely ate Avon up and was the primary cause of the betrayal), so I don't think him putting aside 2-year old beefs with Marlo is out of character. Smart strategy by both men if their goal is indeed to be successful drug dealers rather than living their lives according to manufactured rules of respect on the streets...
Yeah, Marlo took shots at Avon (and vice-versa), but as is often said in The Wire, "the game's the game" and both men understand that occasional rivalries and attacks are simply the nature of the beast. The greater good for both men would be cutting Prop Joe and the East Side out of the drug game entirely and then hashing out the rest on their own terms. I think that if they are successful, then we'll see the beef fire back up between the two after-the-fact... unless Avon's personality has REALLY changed since he's been in the pen. Avon is looking at the "here and now" to get what he wants -- he'll deal with Marlo later... that's how I see the situation anyway.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
SpoilerGood point Stumbleweed. I am not really sure whats going to happen but it seems now that Marlo think the cops are off him he can take more chances. I just don't think it's good to go against Prop Joe. Also, you just know Omar is going play a role in all this. Imagine a Omar-Chris mexican stadoff.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment
