Otherwise, just do a Google search to look for free alternatives. Sure, you'll hear about two-fingered wonders who claim they can type as fast as someone who touch-types. Those people are frauds about 99.5 percent of the time.

    Take care,

I, personally, type faster with two fingers than I do when I use touch-typing. There are plenty of people who can touch-type a lot faster than I can...I just, personally, can go almost 20 WPM faster when I use only two fingers than when I use all of them. And that's after a year-long class on touch typing, just doesn't work for me personally.

Yeah, took it in highschool and what I learned has stuck with me. It's often kind of weird being in a technical field and seeing so many people type with 2 fingers.

You just gotta keep at it and not cheat by going back to hunting n pecking. Start out with the home row (ASDFGH...) and once you get comfortable with that, take the top row....then the bottom last.

I can type about 50 WPM, but i still have to look down to get the numbers row.

            Re: Learning to Type

I learned to type from "Spooky Teaches Typing" for Windows 3.1 when I was 16. Some of the phrases the main character ghost said still stick with me, like "That's all she wrote." That ghost was really annoying, but at least he taught me to type.

The only typing class you need is AIM chatting.

i peck at the keyboard but ive gotten really good at it and i can type fast.

it just sucks when im trying to type a copy of something...

so i usually just try to memorize the first two lines and just go from there...
I still occasionally glance down at the keyboard though.
