Agree 1000%. While the first 4 seasons of Dexter were mostly enjoyable, didn't like S3, it was more of a guilty pleasure because it was so unrealistic from the stupidity of the police force to rampant serial killers running around Miami to the suspension of disbelief about how Dexter could so easily get info about everyone and kill anybody anywhere he wanted and the apparent ban on security cameras in the greater Miami area. It felt more like a comic book movie than a serious drama.



BB was riveting in every way with character development, realistic scenarios and lack of glaring plot holes. Dexter is not even in the same league and its refusal to take itself seriously, which got so out of control the last several seasons that it became a parody, took a lot of tension out of the series.

A lot of people could say the same about your profession but I will agree Saul fits the stereotype a lot of people imagine when they think of lawyers.

My only minor complaint is that some of the scenes drag on too long.

The thing is if you compare and contrast to shows that try to whiz through scenes, you can see the need for intent. It's exactly the opposite reason why I bailed on "Hell on Wheels".

I'm a few episodes into season 3. Saul saves the show for me as in starting to hope Walter just dies. I can't stand him at this point and his behavior.

Saul however, man everything that guy says is gold. I will be watching that spin off for sure

I like Saul, but a show saver? Without Walter you don't have Breaking Bad!
