Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
Finally caught up and finished the show last night. ****ing incredible is about the best way I can describe it. It goes to show how successful a show can be when the writers don't hold anything back and continually push things forward and take risks instead of dicking around and trying to unnecessarily extend the life of the show.
It was really amazing too how seemingly every scene, every character (Jesse, Mike, Saul, and Hank were my favorites btw) etc, had some kind of purpose and meaning. It was also great how things always seemed to be connected, and in a logical way as well, as opposed to just throwing **** at the wall and hoping it sticks. The prime example of this is everything that happened regarding Jane. That was really impressive to me.
And the second part of Season 5, just wow. I see why everyone was going crazy every Sunday night last year when it was airing. They basically put their foot on the accelerator and never stepped off and it was an amazing ride. I actually thought things could have ended in the 14th episode (which was ridiculously intense) but they still managed to end things really well and properly which was great to see.
This is definitely an all-time classic show and I can't recommend it to people quickly enough. Like someone posted in here, it really is like a 62 hour movie. A really insanely good 62 hour movie.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Hell, I would have been okay if they ended it after season 4 after watching it the first time. Glad they didn't with the awesome season that came after, but at the time, it would have been just fine.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

SpoilerI like Hank as well as a character. In fact, I liked nearly everyone in this show. My favorite character was Gus though. He just nailed that so well. Quiet, cold, and all business.Comment

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
Ozymandias was incredible. It almost feels like those last two episodes were an epilogue.
I've re-watched the last two episodes a few times after a cool down and I have to say, they don't really do it for me.
SpoilerJust way to neat.
An amazing story, start to finish though. It really sucks for Matthew Weiner because I have no idea how he's going to top that with Mad Men. We're reaching the end of the TV golden age.
Did/Does anyone else hate Jesse Pinkman or is it just me?Last edited by dsallupinyaarea; 02-09-2014, 09:11 PM.NFL - Vikings

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
Ozymandias is the greatest episode in the history of TV.
As I said in the Season 5, Part 2 thread, I will never look at TV the same after this show. Never.I write things on the Internet.

Breaking Bad - AMC Show
Lots of people hated Jesse. Like wanted him dead in the first season hated him.
I don't know, I've always liked him. Even when he whined I felt it had reason.
I also loved to hate Skyler. It was easy to pick on her and hate her, but I think it says a lot about the actor to portray that woman.
It's also important to me that creators don't just allow women to be props. I think when you look at Skyler, Marie, even Jane, you see how vastly different they were. Each had their own development that was vital to the plot. They weren't just there; Gilligan made sure they were nearly as important to the story.

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
You may be the only person I know who said that.
Ozymandias is regarded as the best episode of the series by pretty much everyone including the series creator. If they left it alone after that, I don't think anyone would have cared too much.

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
SpoilerI just finished the final episode and wasn't too happy with the final scene. I don't like these cliff hangers and I don't want to use my imagination as I'd rather have good old fashioned closure. I see why a lot of people wanted a few more episodes. I still can't stand WW and killing Mike was such a brutal move (then the comment about "Oh...I could've gotten the list from Lydia). Marie was actually a solid character for me. She had her issues but damn she stood by Hank through thick and thin. Hank was a bit of a prick but deep down a good guy who had one hell of a knack for busting drug rings. Gus was a beast up until the very end (loved that subtle neck tie fix).
I enjoyed the series and it was very entertaining. When you are watching a show and see the black screen hoping it's not the end I think you've found a good one.
I'd like about 30 seconds more of air time to see a single bullet kill both Skylar and WW in one shot just to get some closure. They both suck IMOSOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
