Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
Talks about the Spanish version and the changes between the two. There is also a 6 minute video. I am guessing it's a clip from the show. I didn't watch.

SpoilerScene after scene of Breaking Bad takes place in a classic RV where Walter and Jesse cook meth. In Metástasis, an old school bus is used because campers aren’t common in Latin America.Walter (Colombian telenovela star Diego Trujillo) and Jose Miguel Rosas (known as Jesse in the original and played by hunky Roberto Urbina) steal their methylamine from two cargo trucks that need to use an alternate road since the city’s main highways are blocked by protesters — a common occurrence in Latin America. The Spanish-language version of Saul has a much bigger platform than a few low-budget television ads. In Metástasis, Saul hosts a late night talk show called Cuéntele a Saúl, in which he offers audiences legal advice — a riff on a talk show model that’s highly popular among Spanish speaking audiences.Walter’s swimming pool played a vital role in Breaking Bad — but Bogotá, Colombia, where Metástasis takes place, is typically too chilly for a pool. The backyard oasis, therefore, won’t be a fixture in Metástasis as it was in the original series.Comment

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
I read the link but they make it sound as if it isn't going to be a 5-season show. Why would they have already filmed the arcs to story lines that appear years later?
Interesting. I might try to watch this. All I know is that they should find a way to have english subtitles for fans to watch."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
So I've been slacking on TV shows recently cause I've been focused on other more important things. Now that I finally have some free time I've decided to start some TV shows I never got into, first on my list was Breaking Bad and oh man, it was a rollercoaster. I watched the entire series in about 5 days and I just polished it off, I haven't slept in close to 30 hours because of it. Watching Walt's transformation is just plan incredible and seeing the rest of the characters evolve with the story is great. Every character is acted so perfectly it's honestly incredible. Even characters that aren't too likable at times like Skyler or Gus or are just flat-out annoying (oh Marie..) still fit in so well because the roles they play are delivered so excellently. The final 3 episodes make the entire journey worthwhile and I couldn't ask for more. I've sat through plenty of series that had an ending that just made me regret all the time I put into it, Dexter and Lost mainly, and I can happily say Breaking Bad is the complete opposite. Ozymandias is the true ending to the series in my eyes and the final 2 episodes serve as an epilogue and it's just perfect. The ending couldn't have been better. Breaking Bad is probably the single greatest TV show I have ever seen and I'm sad that I can't watch it all over for the first time again. Now I have to wrap my head around Game of Thrones!Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
Better Call Saul pushed back to early 2015.
But, it's already been renewed for a second season as well.
Plus, this little snippet:
Executive producer Peter Gould says that the show will feature scenes that move back and forth over several decades, including the era where Walter White cooked and sold crystal meth.
“One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before ‘Breaking Bad,’ during ‘Breaking Bad,’ and after ‘Breaking Bad'. That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on ‘Breaking Bad,’ ” he says.

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
Just watch all 5 seasons the last 2 weeks. This series was amazing. Walt's Transformation from the 1st episode to the end was extremely well done. No outta left field crap like most shows do this seemed natural as hell and I loved that. Jesse as well.
Would write more but its 430 in the morning and need to sleep after 5 hours of BB.
When it comes to crime drama, its G.O.A.T for me. Easily.

Nice.
I wonder how far they will go with it. Like will it just be cameos from the Breaking Bad characters, or could say, Saul's pre-Walt dealings with Gus and Mike play a major role in the show?Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
No idea. The article does say they don't want it to be about Walt so I doubt they put much emphasis on those meetings.
Maybe they will show what Saul was doing while he was helping Walt. Surely he had other clients.

Re: Breaking Bad - AMC Show
Finished everything a week ago. Man, just a brilliant show. It doesn't beat out The Wire or Game of Thrones as my fave but thats ok. The acting by the whole group was fantastic, I didn't hate one performance.
It was interesting how the show made me hate Walter White towards the end, thats just brilliant to do that with your lead character. Brian Cranston as WW is the greatest acting performance ever in TV history.
His ego was just so out of control and I felt bad for Jesse. He just destroyed him. It interesting Jesse called him an artist in the first season, because thats what he was and Walter acted accordingly as a troubled artist.
One of my favorite parts was when Hector went to the DEA. I just couldn't stop laughing when he was spelling out stuff for Hank.
Great VID of Walter Whites evolution
