Hate Walter White? Never entered my mind. If that's the case the last major scene with the Nazi Meths would have had less impact. (IMO)

I heard it before, even from Dean Norris (Hank) on Conan. I wonder how many fans of the show ending up hating or just not liking Walter?

You do root for Walter to eventually win at the end but he destroyed everyones life he came across. He purposely poisoned a kid, let Jesses girlfriend die, Maries a widow because of him, Walter Jr has to go through high school being the kid of Heisenberg. If he saved Jesse's gf from dying, then plane crash wouldn't of happened.

That whole city of Abq was affected from the crash was in root because of Walter. For what? To protect his family? He even said so at the end he did it for himself because he "liked it" and it made him feel "alive." He did it for his art and it didn't matter who was sacrificed.

Thats why I thought the show was brilliant because it made people root for a villain.

The story was to turn Mr. Chips into Scarface. If you hated Walter, I think Vince Gilligan would have felt proud.

It was a tough balance for me. I hated what he was doing but I felt there was enough heart in there to see he had good intentions, he just went about it very poorly.

Walter White was a family man but he was also a scumbag who hurt a lot of people because of his actions.

Not disagreeing with you Mike, but it's been done before with Tony Soprano, Vic Mackey and Dexter to name a few. I was rooting for all these guys to the end although Mackey's shame was particularly humiliating.

Obviously the difference between Walter and those guys is in the title. You got the origin of a super-villain.

I haven't seen shield, which i been told i should do but Dexter and Tony had a code they followed to justify their crimes.

What was Walters code? He was an egotistical maniac. Like he said he was in the Empire business and he liked what he did. He liked being the man and wanted to build his empire as big as possible before he died. He was also such a big dick to Jesse. He love him yes, but man put Jesse through the ringer.

So yeah that made me not like him but I was fascinated sort of the same way I would be fascinated about Pablo Escobar. Its a lesson in what ego can do to you and what it can do to the people around you when it gets out of control.

I'm not saying its bad to like Walter, his evolution was fantastic. He's extremely intelligent and he's a badass so I see the appeal for sure.

So I have watched all episodes for the first time in the last month plus. What an amazing show! I watched it with my wife and we were both so engrossed by it. I mentioned to her how the character transformations were incredible. And I did end up hating Walt during the fourth season sometime. I was not rooting for him in the end, I was rooting for Jesse.

I'm just sad I can't relive it all again for the first time. Can't believe how good this was.

We all feel this way. I finished the series a few months ago. Definitely one of my favorites ever.

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul reunited for a spoof video for the Emmy's. Pretty funny. Barely Legal Pawn.

Finished watching the series again, but watched with my cousin who has never seen it, only heard about it. It was so fun to watch and in your head your like, "this is when this happens or this", but my cousin next to me is just sitting in awe and shock. You pick up the small things that were missed before, or connect the dots sooner.

It is a prequel, but we will also see scenes from during BB's timeframe and after, I believe Gilligan confirmed that.

Yeah, they mopped up. I love Game of Thrones and House of Cards, but Breaking Bad deserved all the awards they received.
