Agreed. Too many guys have high standards for nothing.

When it comes to girls getting a paid spread in a magazine that is supposed to present very attractive women and the undeserved ego boost that comes with it, yeah, I have high standards.

As for the people who say they would kick these girls out of their bed, I have my doubts about the validity of those statements - unless you are with someone already.

I wouldn't say they are ugly, but if you are going to pull something like that off, at least be somewhat hot.

On a scale of 1-10, I give them a 5 maybe 6.

I've come up with a new scale for judging women. It is the same 1-10 scale, but here is how it works (hopefully you all know basic math ):

1) Determine what the woman is on the usual 1-10 scale.

For this example, let's assume I say they are all 7s.

Now, 2) determine what you are perceived to be by women. I'd say I am about a 5, for this example. Now because (for this example) I am nothing special, I should not be able to judge women so harshly, so we must adjust the scale for my impurities.

So, we 3) add 5 - (50% x our rating)

In this case, these girls would be a 9.5, based on the fact that I am not exactly a 10 to women.

This way, if a woman is deemed a 10, by a 10 quality dude, he will make no subtraction, and she will be a true 10, the most beautiful of beautiful women. And hopefully the uglies will no longer persecute the "average" women. This should help keep people within their league.

My guess is that the average poster here is somewhere between the 4-8 areas, so do what you will with this magical formula.

Well, I have to say I'm shocked. When I said that at least they looked like they ate 3 meals a day I was expecting someone to smack me in the face and say that they were too skinny.

Instead, someone actually said they need to lose weight. My goodness what has this world come to?

I couldn't disagree with this more. If this was a Dolphins game in September then sure, judge as you wish. These girls wearing bikinis aren't being recognized for being hot. They're recognized for NOT being butt ugly and wearing bikinis when it's below zero degrees. They definitely deserve whatever recognition they get for that if the first 2 weeks of American Idol can continue to get insane ratings. If you see them in Vogue or as models in an advertising spread in GQ then I agree with you.

Obviously men (those that would buy maxim) like looking at women more than other men so 3 men with their shirts off wouldn't be as newsworthy but I bet if there were 10 or more guys in a row with nothing but speedos on, maxim would be looking for them too... just not for a spread.
