Don't know many people who have a wild party with over-the-counter sleeping pills, which is what has been reported on CNN as the pills found at the scene.

Hmm I hate to speculate but what if they had a wild party, he accidently OD'ed and she ran out the place so she wouldn't get caught in a strange situation.

I wonder how many scenarios we will see in this thread.

We already have a few good ones, I particularly like the one about him going to deep into his Joker persona.

Very weird. Developed insomnia due to the way he prepared for his role, sleeping pills found at the scene, Mary-Kate Olsen owns the apartment....this might turn into one of those ultra-sensationalized Hollywood death tales when all is said and done.

The insomnia now ties back in.

He had been taking Ambien (sp?) to help him try to sleep, but even that wasn't working...according to a guy from the NYT who interviewed him about it sooner or later.

It's really sad, it's very possible that he got so deep into his role that it claimed his life.

Listen, the bottom line is, there some really BAD ***t going around out there for quite some time now, drugs aren't like they used to be back in the day, I think there mixing ***t in the drugs to kill people on purpose, so for people out there, stay away....I bet I can call what he dies from too, I bet he was sniffing some heroin, or sticking it...I will most likely bet he was sniffing, I just had a friend die almost 2 years from this bull****.

They were over-the-counter sleeping pills. Not heroin, not coke, not crack, not this or that.

The pills found at the scene, being reported by the NYPD officers on the scene, were over the counter sleeping pills. That is it. And there has never been a single report...legit or tabloid alike...of Ledger taking drugs.

It's really sad, it's very possible that he got so deep into his role that it claimed his life.

The downfall of Method Acting. Sometimes you get so wrapped up in your role that something like this could happen. I know we hear funny stories like how Forrest Whittaker acted like Idi Amin offset of THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND but then we get stuff like this that claims a young actor's life.
