If any of the "he used drugs people" wanted to try and use evidence to support their mindset, while it would still be just as much speculation as if they did not used fact, they could've used:

-He had been linked to Lindsay Lohan in December after she got out of rehab.
-He has dated supermodels, and supermodels tend to use drugs

Those two would've been at least some circumstantial "evidence" to point towards maybe using drug use, but instead it was chosen to say that he was doing drugs because he was rich and most rich people do drugs.

-He was thinking about taking a role in a movie called Candy, where he would play something relating to a drug addict.
-He went to a rehab center in Australia to talk to drug addicts and try and find out how they lived, and told them he did not want to try the drugs to see, but needed to learn how these "junkies" live.

And something else:

-Friends had been worried about him because he was growing more and more depressed, and had been fighting sobriety for a very long time. So I'll take back my strong stance on him never using the drugs (so you're off the hook, GSW ), but the fact that he had been fighting sobriety so much only strengthens my idea that hardcore drugs were no where near the cause of his death.

According to the Times' CityBlog article, Ledger was found dead in his SoHo apartment by the late actor's masseuse and housekeeper, when the masseuse showed up for her scheduled appointment with the star. Ledger did not answer the knocks on his bedroom door, prompting the masseuse and housekeeper to enter and discover that the actor was unconscious. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities. The article also states that the police do not suspect foul play and that pills were found next to the body.

You know, I haven't read through this thread, and I'm not going to. I only had to go a few pages before I knew what this was going to degenerate into.

I'm taking my "mod" cap off for whatever finishes this post.

It makes me absolutely sick to my stomach to see what lengths some of you go to just to feel like a part of the "in" crowd. Speculation as to what drugs he did, what his life was like, etc. Instead of just saying "Rest in peace" or something to the effect, some of you have decided to lay down that he was definitely a drug addict, or you knew he did cocaine.

And here is a little light to shine on some of you - NOT EVERYONE WHO HAS MONEY DOES DRUGS.

Funny...I have now read about 2 different drugs THAT ARE NOT EVEN IN ANY REPORT ABOUT HEATH LEDGER.

To finish it off, let me say this. I have seen a bunch of you on this forum saying how you don't like the way this whole DSM/OS thing has been handled, and don't like the way DSM handles themselves. Time to take a look in the mirror. This thread is a prime example as to why OS is losing staff/moderators by the handful at a time. Some of you just don't know when to say when or when to just stay quiet.

That's all. Rest in peace, Mr. Ledger. Some of us actually care that your daughter and family are alright, and don't just want to make a spectacle of another Hollywood death.

This came out of nowhere. Heath died way before his time but unlike River Phoenix and Brad Renfro, I felt like Heath did reach his potential with his performance in Brokeback Mountain.

It was hard to imagine the great career he went on to have after playing Patrick Verona in 10 Things I Hate About You.

It's going to be strange watching the Dark Knight knowing he's dead.

Now a 2 year old girl is without a father.

all i ever did was say id be willing to bet. he dabbled in extra curricular drugs, that got turned into me saying he 100% for a fact does it, which got turned in to he died because of it.

thats all stemed from a report of a Overdose of... a drug.
