This show doesn't make any sense to me. Why not just tell the truth the whole time? If you lie, they say that you lied so your wife knows the truth anyway.

          Seems like easy money.

            Same thing I was thinking.

There's no reason to not tell the truth since if you lie everyone will know. So, just tell the truth and make some money.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Yeah, I don't see how anyone HASN'T won the full amount yet, especially with someone that isn't married and/or with kids. Even with a spouse, as long as you don't have any big skeletons in the closet this should be easy money. 500K can make almost any uncomfortable/awkward moment bearable.

You really think you're getting through the audition process if you don't have some skeletons in your closet that would be fairly embarrassing to admit on national television?

                      Re: The Moment of Truth

Last night's episode was weak. Last week's was much better. Sometimes, it's in the nature of the person's background that makes the questions either really good or not. The ones with this one girl that is on are pretty stupid, though ("Do you think your mom is overweight?", "Do you think you're prettier than your little sister?", "Have you ever used cosmetics blah blah blah...").

BTW, this is sort of a nitpick with all shows that do it, but is anyone else annoyed how they preview what's "Coming Up" before they cut to a commercial? I mean, you're already watching the show... I don't really think most people will change their mind about not watching the rest of the episode just because they suddenly see some embarrassing question they find is about to be asked. By the previews (and showing a new person), I then knew that that one guy wasn't going to last much longer at all, though he walked. I know they also do it on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader and Don't Forget The Lyrics, and it just annoys me to no tomorrow. I'm fine with previews for the next episode (though I avoid those as well), because that makes more sense, especially to let people know exactly the next time that it comes on.

You know that is a pretty good point about that, it is fairly annoying.

Some of these questions are hilarious, but only if they admit to it or are fail the lie detector test. I know I could never go on this show, my future bar license would be in jeopardy if I had to admit to stuff without explaining it.

Like for example, I have stolen money from my mother. When I was a kid she owned a store, I took some money to go buy candy, so I'd have to answer yes.

They always give like a one minute explanation for stuff.

exactly. that would make for a boring show.

Yea i was just thinking, tell the truth and win the money. This is the quickest money ever. I'd admit to anything that won't send me immediately to jail, murder, rape,. and take my money pay whoever i pissed off and keep it moving.

Hmmmm, the way that's stated has me thinking you got some serious skeletons. You'd admit everything except the murder and rape?
