Fox also axed Arrested Development (greatest comedy ever imo) and Family Guy. Nothing they do surprise me anymore. Or television shows in general.

They had a reason for stopping Arrested Development, the ratings were bad. They had no reason to cut Futurama though.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

With the Writers Guild of America strike at an end, CBS today announced anticipated dates for the return of their most popular series with new episodes. The half-hour comedies will return as early as March 17, with dramas taking a bit longer. The majority of them will return in April, but "CSI: Miami" will be back as early as March 24.

March 17: "How I Met Your Mother," "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men"

        March 24: "CSI: Miami"

        March 30: "Cold Case"

April 2: "Criminal Minds," "CSI: NY"

April 3: "CSI" and "Without a Trace"

April 4: "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs"

        April 8: "NCIS"

        April 11: "Moonlight"

        April 14: "Rules of Engagement"

"The Unit," "Cane" and "Shark" are on previously announced hiatus to make room on the schedule for "Big Brother," "Jericho" and "Dexter."

The ratings were bad because Fox constantly moved its timeslot like crazy.

Were the animated shows on Fox effected by this strike, or will they have full seasons?

                No they weren't affected.

are you kidding me? they better not force me to pay $40 for a box set just to see the final 6 episodes.

Therefore, in my opinion, they have the obligation to do right by us, and complete the season this year. There is no rule (as far as I know) that states that a television series must end at a specific time, before they go into summer break and go on hold until the new season.

Just write the new episode scripts, film them, and then show them until the season is finished. If it takes until June or so to film and televise all the episodes, so be it.
You dont pay for network TV. Thats free so they have no obligation to complete the season.

You're not forced to buy anything and if you download music you'll be able to download them. This dvd thing was pretty much the plan for Bill Lawrence if there was a strike so this shouldn't be a surprise.

Family Guy was. They havent had a new episode since early Jan because of the strike.

Why? I thought I read that none of the animated shows were affected since they have to make them so far in advance.

The creator of Family Guy told Fox not to air any episodes during the strike or he'd stop making them altogether. Something like that anyway.
