This 1080p, 2.35:1 framed transfer from Fox is hands-down one of the very top transfers to hit Blu-ray yet. I'm tempted to say it's the best, but several other discs would definitely have something to say about that.

The special effects hold up very, very well in this one. Simply stated, if you are looking for the perfect demo disc to show off that fancy new 1080p television set and your Blu-ray player, picking up and using this movie is a no-brainer.

As strikingly beautiful as the video quality is, the audio matches it frame for frame, making for perhaps the finest audio/video combination yet on the young Blu-ray format. Right from the opening credits listeners are treated to spectacular sound envelopment, and you'll feel like you're underwater.

The audio and video qualities are second to none, and the special features are comprehensive and presented in a new, groundbreaking way. I generally don't give out the highest of recommendations unless the movie scores a perfect 5 with me, but I'm going to bend that rule on this one. I, Robot on Blu-ray receives my highest recommendation.

I had brought The Show, but I took back this morning. I just couldn't justify having 2 baseball games @ FULL PRICE. I would be willing to give 07 a try. Does it differ much in reference to game play from 08?

:O You chose 2K8 over Show? HUGE no no...especially if your a new PS3 owner, and to answer your question 08 blows 07 out of the water when it comes to the graphics.

It's best to get a pro out to do it (which I still haven't), but you can use HVE calibration disc and I have read that it does help to a degree improve the PQ. Nowhere near having a pro come to your house, but it helps.

Maybe my calibrations are wrong for movies I don't know, but my games look great. I watched the Invisible it looked fine, I got all the Pirates of the Caribbean and they are fine Blu-Ray wise. But for some reason my hitman has grainy pictures in some scenes, daytime they are perfectly fine.

I love the hell out of the movie, why would I lie and knock it. I can watch this movie over and over again. Its a great film. But the blu-ray just isn't up to standards.

I just found the settings for my tv on avsforum, from a guy a ton of other posters agreed with. It looks fine to me, but then again I don't have the eye for differences that a lot of you guys do. avsforum is worth checking out to get a baseline if you're not going to buy a calibration disc. Does Netflix have those discs? Not sure if it's even worth messing with, given that I'm happy with my tv.

For gaming I roll with the 360, hence why I brought 2k8. Again my main purchase of a PS3 is BR Playback. Thanks for the heads-up on 08 V 07

That is what I did, I found some base settings from AVS for my TV and just worked with those. I am borrowing my brothers HVE disc and haven't tried it yet because you need a few hours to mess around with it. I think using baseline settings helps a lot and then working from there. We all need to remember too that the lighting of the room and how close we sit to the TV makes a huge difference.

Im a 24/7 360 gamer...Show is the only game i have and its going to stay that way for awhile, i also bought a PS3 for Blu-Ray playback...Show is a must have for any baseball fan.

mgo, just look at it this way......if it makes you happy when viewing your TV, what anyone else says or thinks shouldn't matter.

I love my DLP, but I see the rainbow effect on white backgrounds and it drives me nuts at times. My wife or anyone else that I point it out to doesn't notice it. As much as I would love to get a different TV, we bought this last January and my wife would throw a heart attack if I tried to get another one.....which I don't blame her.

Johnnytheskin, whom was a former member here told me that the best way to fix the rainbow effect is to use a disc like HVE on a DLP and it will help fix the problem.
