    Blu-Ray.com gave Hitman a 3.0

20th Century Fox brings Hitman to Blu-ray with a pretty good 1080p high definition transfer. As always, the movie is framed in its original aspect ratio of 2.35:1. The stylized image of many scenes provide whacked-out contrast and grain galore. Nevertheless, this is a serviceable transfer, but one that is not without flaws.

Fox has once again delivered a fine DTS-HD MA soundtrack for this release, but compared to the ones I recently heard in Independence Day and I, Robot, this one seemed slightly lacking, especially in the clarity and fidelity departments.

Hitman is a movie I wanted to like, and despite my affection for the genre in which it resides, I found myself bored stiff throughout. The simple fact that the movie is derivative in so many ways (Soldier, Shooter, The Matrix, and Vantage Point, to name a few) may account for my ho-hum reaction.
Hitman Blu-ray Release Date March 11, 2008 (Unrated). Blu-ray reviews, news, specs, ratings, screenshots. Cheap Blu-ray movies and deals.

Ill be watching it later tonight after work to decide for myself.

Sweet, you will enjoy this for sure.

The story is confusing in some spots and my biggest beef is that this was a 94 minute movie that could have benefited from about another 20+ minutes. 'Hitman' games have such a nice storied past to them that they could have done a little more.

When you get a chance, check out Dan in Real Life like I said earlier. That was another good one. Not for everyone.

Sadly blockbuster didn't have Dan this afternoon either, but they did have the Blu-ray of No Country, so I have that rented too. Should be a good weekend of movies

I know others have already replied but, for me atleast, Hitman was average at best. It didnt seem like they followed the story from the games much at all and instead just wanted to make an action movie while borrowing small things from the game so they could bank on the brand name itself. Like candy said, there are some things that arent really explained, and the action is good but it was a letdown for me atleast.

On a side note, did anyone notice that they actually had Timothy Olyphant walk exactly like the character does in the game? It threw me off for awhile.

EDIT- Dan in Real Life is actually better imo then Hitman and really shows that imo Steve Carrell has passed Will Ferrell as an actor, it seems that Ferrell is stuck in this never ending cycle of doing the same type of movie (minus Stranger then Fiction) while Carrell showed that he can actually act in this movie as opposed to stumble around making jokes.

Amazon is fantastic. Waiting on my $10.89 BR copy of American Psycho. Should be here today. To think, buying at the store would have ran me $30, not to mention gas money.

Hell yes. Took advantage of the deal for I Am Legend on Amazon. Amazon is definitely the #1 place to shop for HD movies.

I don't know how Amazon can afford to sell BR stuff this cheap, but I don't care. Just snagged American Psycho, No Country..., and Gone Baby Gone. Damn tax return burning a hole in my pocket...

Wow, that price seems to keep dropping. It's getting closer to affordable for me

I have a price I'm waiting for but I'm still waiting for the rumored firmware for the LG model before I make a move.

Spectre, everything that I have read about the 2 (LG and Sammy), the Samsung is the more reliable of the two.
