Pass, they should have included the alternate version instead of the info as deleted scenes and alternate ending.Comment

Bought "The Love Guru" on blu as a blind for $11. I spent $10.99 too much. PQ is good, but even Jessica Alba couldn't save that train wreck. Hoping I can unload it on the HDD forum.
Sin City (Canadian Import) was great. I'm thinking the US release will be a much bigger upgrade though.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
I just watched my BD of 1408 for the first time since buying it, and I'm disappointed that they don't even have an option to watch the version with the theatrical ending in it. It only has the DC ending plus two alternates in the special features, one very close to the theatrical but without the same resulting effect that you get after watching it.
This isn't the first version of something that I've said this about where the DVD had it just fine.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
I said this in the offtopic thread but I still can't believe how good Wall-E looks on Blu-Ray. I have a few other Blu-Ray's but this one really shows off how good the tv is.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Hey I bought a new 32" HDTV on Friday for my other bedroom and now the only thing is i'm wishing I had a Blu-ray player on it. Well for the time being I pulled my PS3 from my bedroom but every time I watch a movie I don't want to be moving the thing back and forth. So I was looking into getting a cheap (being relative) Blu-ray player but it seems all of the cheaper units get poor reviews on amazon and the like. Plus without a PS3 I have no media server which is always handy.
So my question to you guys is what did you do to have Blu-ray in other rooms than your main living room setup? Is buying a 3rd PS3 overkill???Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Well, the PS3 isn't the best BD player on the market any longer, the new Sony's and Panasonic's have passed it by. So if you are planning to spend that much, I'd go with the new Sony 350 or Panny models (don't know off hand, Candy I know does).Hey I bought a new 32" HDTV on Friday for my other bedroom and now the only thing is i'm wishing I had a Blu-ray player on it. Do you really need to watch BD in your bedroom though? I know I just end up sleeping in mine, but to each their own.Comment

Well i've gotten used to only watching Blu-Rays and there is nothing better when i'm tired or hungover to just lie in bed and watch a movie.Well, the PS3 isn't the best BD player on the market any longer, the new Sony's and Panasonic's have passed it by. I'm not really looking for the best, just wondering if the PS3 offers the best bargain for the money in that range.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
ODogg, like EG said, I would recommend the Panny BD35 or BD55 if you can still find them. Panasonic has new models coming this spring already. You can't go wrong with either a Sony 350/550 or one of the Panny's.Well, the PS3 isn't the best BD player on the market any longer, the new Sony's and Panasonic's have passed it by. Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
1-Cheaper in price.
2-Harmony remotes are compatible with them.
3-you won't burn out your PS3 drive watching movies.
4-load times are about the same now (I have had a few discs hang up on the PS3 longer than the Panny BD35).
5-PQ is about the same, but at times is better on my Panny.
6-I think the sound out of my SAL player is better than the PS3.Comment
