I'm starting to. Already have deadpool. Can't decide between The Revenant or BVS. I'll probably buy both. I've heard the revenant is awesome and visually the best 4k UHD out, just not sure if it'll keep my attention. I know it's a great movie but not one usually watch.

what setting do you guys use while watching 4K UHDs? I've tried it on Cinema mode and it looks dark. I want the colors to POP. So typically i use Genral with Vivid display for 4K movies. Open to tips and suggestions.

Right now I'm using Cinema mode with tweaks to the display. May go back.

        Have you considered calibration?

And this question will probably go over better in the "Plasma/LCD thread" or whatever it's called.

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**

I got Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens in 3D last night. I don't know if that price is going to drop from $30 any time soon, so I just said what the hell and purchased it.

Not that I wasn't impressed by the 3D in theaters, but at the time it was really ho-hum. Now that I have it at home, I'm very much appreciating the 3D treatment for this film. Dare I say... it's the best 3D conversion I have ever seen on Blu-ray. Is it the best 3D movie or the most in-your-face 3D? Not necessarily. But the clarity, depth and visual fidelity are insane! Cranked the Darbee up to about 75% with no hinderances on PQ whatsoever.

It was a delight to re-watch before Rogue One (which, as I understand it, does not follow TFA chronologically... but still got me in the mood). The one thing I wish Disney did was give us a free movie voucher before R1, or at least $5 or something. But nah, those greedy bastards just want all of our money. And guess what... they're going to get it too.

We already have the 4K of this one, but this will be the first movie we watch on our new 4K tv next week.

There were some unadvertised 3D blu rays. BB had Warcraft for $10. Target and Walmart had Tarzan for $10. Walmart had capt. 3: Civil war for $8. Posts were made on blu ray.com about these.

All I could find was bvs 4k at BB or $10. Stopped at 2 best buys, 2 Wal-Mart's and 2 targets.

I snagged this today. Was surprised to see it so low.

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**

This one sneaked by me after paying attention to it for so long, but Rush Hour 2 is now released on Blu-ray (as of Halloween). It is packaged with RH1 & RH3 as a trilogy boxset.

The problem for someone like me is I already own 1 & 3, and there is no known individual release. I'll just end up getting the box set, but I don't like owning a movie more than once if I can help it. I'd also prefer individual cases if possible, but whatever.

                              Check out the packaging though:

                              <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vBSqI5JZWhU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The more I think about it, the more I am surprised about how well this set came out. WB commisioned new artwork, included a previous bonus disc, and produced a new bonus disc on top of it... all for a budget price. It's a really great set when you think about how easily it would have been for WB to drop RH3's bonus disc and just stream the new bonus feature.

Hopefully, this is a sign of good things to come and not a unique exception.
