    Donnie Darko

I just finishing watching the movie, and I have to admit, i came away more confused than anything. I know that when a movie is older than 5 years, theres no need for spoiler tags right?

Anyway, WTF is with the end? Was imaginary Frank real? Was the whole movie after the engine crash in Donnie's room just a scene of what could of happened if he didn't leave the room?

I don't consider my self a dumb person, but this movie has left me dumbfounded. Anyone care to explain what the meaning of the movie is, as well as just a overall summary of what was meant by the entire movie.

Meaning of the movie is that Patrick Swayze loves kiddie porn, or something about a tangent universe and Donnie saving the world. Take your pick

      Re: Donnie Darko

So Patrick in the movie was really a child Pedo? Howd we come to that conclusion? Wait a min, Donnie burned his house down and while the fire department was putting out the fire, they found kiddie porn? How did that get past me?

About the Universe crap, he went back in time to stop himself from leaving his room so he would die? Then what about Frank? Was Frank real and what was his importance? Cause they also showed the real Frank at the end with the bunny suit........

You need to watch the Director's Cut version. There are some nice extras on that DVD that'll help answer some questions you have.
        MLB: Cincinnati Reds
        NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
        NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
        NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
        NHL: Calgary Flames

Agreed, watch the directors cut, you do not want it ruined for you here on OS. Watch the DC, trust me.

I think you have the gist of the story Marshall. Although I am now really interested in seeing the director's cut.. is it really that much different guys?!

Yeah, you can't really understand a lot of it without seeing the Director's Cut. It fills in so much of the gaps. It's really like watching a different movie to be honest, VERY different, not like a lot of Director Cut movies where it's just minor stuff.

With that being said, a lot of it is still left up to the viewer. Just a fantastic movie that really makes you think IMO.

That's what makes a good movie, IMO. It has to make you think.
