Yes and as myself and others have stated, watching the Directors Cut is not at all like watching the first movie.

Ok, the link above was really helpful, however i still have a question that wasn't quite answered.

Was the tangent Universe created because Donnie got out of bed when the jet engine hit his house? Or was the tangent universe going to be created regardless of Donnie leaving the house that night or not.

Reading that summary makes it seem as if regardless of Donnie getting up, the tangent universe was going to be created, but that only Donnie could destroy it by sending the plane engine back through time; however wasn't the plane engine set back through time in the very beginning when it crashed in his room and he wasn't there?

In my opinion the tangent universe was created when he got out of bed. Basically I view it like an alternate reality in which a different decision was made which was contrary to fate. In order to fix the problem Donnie has to make things right which is what the movie was about. But to be honest it's something I think about a lot because I too find it difficult to wrap my head around the entire movie.
