    RedBox

Anybody else use this. They're in most grocery stores around here. For anyone unfamiliar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redbox

Only way I rent movies nowadays.

Yeah they're awesome. The fact that its only a buck a movie a day makes it awesome. They've also started doing games, but not all locations have them. Heres a tip..

goto redboxcodes.com for free movie codes.

          Redbox Checking Video Game Rentals

This is sweet right here. This would be a great way to rent games that are quickies. They should really setout a different kiosk for the gaming. Blockbuster will definitely be in trouble as well as any other video game store that rents out games. I'm liking them. Just wish they had Blu Ray movies instead.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that blu rays are in the near future. They just struck a deal with Sony to have 20% of the movies in a kiosk be sony titles. (They get the movies cheaper but have to destroy them when done renting--can't sale as used)

If they offered Blu-Ray in my area, I'd be all over them. Still a great deal for standard DVD's, I used it fairly often before I upgraded to Blu-Ray.

I just wonder how much of a difference it'll be with Blu Ray though. Sucks that they can't resale but I'll scoop up on Amazon. No biggie.

                  Screw Redbox.

Rented a movie and returned in three hours before it was due and got charged $2 instead of $1. Never again.

                    Damn... one whole dollar.

It would have cost you like 5 bucks to rent it in blockbuster anyhow.

Doesn't matter if it is a $1 or $100, it's the principle of it.

Why would I have went to Blockbuster? There are other alternatives like Family Video which is a buck there too.

As I said, it's not the dollar. If I pay for something and follow the guidelines I expect to be charged what I'm suppose to be charged.

We also have DVDxpress in my area. I rarely use them though b/c you can only return it to the kiosk you got it from. Redbox is much more convenient.

DVDxpress is also $1.49 each additional night vs. $1 for redbox.

I love them. Same movies, but a ton cheaper than Blockbuster. I don't watch enough movies to justify Netflix, so Red Box is great for me.

Funny I see this topic, as my girlfriend and I went with RedBox just the other day. The selection was alright, and the disc was a little beat up, but it worked. Definitely beats Blockbuster... they're a ripoff. I didn't know about the free movie codes. I'll have to check that out.
