I already have it. It's going to get great reviews like St. Elsewhere and once again I will wonder what the critics are listening to.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

They weren't hearing the same thing I was. Outside of Crazy and that Go Go Gadget song the beats weren't that great and Cee-Lo wasn't that great(in my opinion, in case you needed it). I'm a fan of both of them separately but together they aren't as great as critics say they are(in my opinion).

Hopefully the second Danger Mouse and Jemini album comes out soon.

If you liked St. Elsewhere you'll probably will like this one. I don't like the beats outside of Run and Going On and Cee-Lo just talks about the most random things.

Re: Gnarls Barkley - The Odd Couple

I had it for about two weeks now. I loved the first one and I don't think the latest one is as good. TOC is a very good album, but it's far less consistent than the first. I thought Cee-Lo stood out on almost every single track on St. Elsewhere, whereas I think Cee-Lo struggles to fit in with Dangermouse's sound here.

"Going On", "A Little Better", and "Run" are standouts though.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

I'll probably end up picking this one up. The first was a fun album, nothing groundbreaking but a good mix of styles which led to an entertaining album.

I'm feeling this album. I was worried it would be St. Elsewhere Part Deux, but it's a totally different album, which I like.

Don't sleep on track 12 "Neighbor". The way that whole album was done is so throwback that you cant even listen to it with an ear that has been abused by the crap thats been out in recent years. I feel both their albums. In 2011 this sound will be the norm. Stripped down tracks with raw emotion and real lyrics worth listening to. Its hard to compare it to anything because its so out there but it connects with so many people and thats the genius in it. Its not really an R&B album, or hip hop, or even rock. Its kind of its own genre.

Me and my boy at work were talking about this. He predicted that this is the next genre of music...the Gnarls Barkley/Gorillaz type of thing that we've been seeing.

Agreed. I've been listening to it for several days and I like it even more than St. Elsewhere. Always been a big fan of Cee-Lo, and as much I would love another solo joint from him (especially more in the mold of Soul Machine), he and and Dangermouse are great together. Video for Run is hot too.
