Good luck though man... either way you go though you can't go wrong.

If you still plan on living in the Boston area when you get it, one thing I can tell you though is you need snow tires. Some good times me and the Z had in the snow. lol

The GTR is going to be ridiculous. You see the dealers are marking them up an extra 20 grand. At least around here. 5000 to get on the list to get one. 70 grand list price, selling for 90 grand. 70 grand I can live with, 90 grand, I'll buy a car from Germany.

Very happy with the G35. Great off the line, very tight steering, excellent feedback from the steering wheel. Very feature rich car and for a good price. This one has everything but Navi, and it came in around 36K.

I drove the G37 and loved it. But in all honesty I couldn't tell a big difference performance wise, it didn't have enough headroom for me, and my wife was driving me nuts about not getting another 2 door car. Also the backseats in the G37 are almost non-existant, while the G35 are at least manageable.

I really don't think you can go wrong with a G series Infiniti and outside of the Z I don't really know of another car that matches it bang for the buck. Hell the G was 5 grand cheaper than my Murano.

I'll post pictures of both some time this week.

My Z was an 05. Wonderful car. The Navi was archaic, but the car itself was a dream. If you are going to get a Z, get a 04.5 or later. They ironed out most of the kinks with tire feathering and other little niggling issues post 04 model.

I kind of agree. 90 grand is M5 range and as much as I love the GTR, you don't mess with a M5.

Talking to the dealers around here, there isn't much interest for the car but they are sure over hyping it.

There is a lot of competition in the class they are in and not a lot of people are going to want to commit that much money on a new car which is going to have problems since it is the first year.

BTW, at a stop light today, some kid in a Civic with a fart can, revved his engine at me. I was like, "You gotta be kidding me". I thought I was done getting harrassed by the kiddies when I got rid of the Z. I guess not.

Waiting list for the GT-R here is full. Not a dealer in town has an open spot on their list.

Was it modded? I can't stand modded Civics since I see plenty of those in the parking structures of SDSU.

I drive a Civic myself, standard EX 1998 since I wrecked the 2003 one I had. I'm still a little shocked at how such a slight, slow-spped impact put away that car for good.

I like Civics just for the mpg I get out of it, but I would definitely get another car for other purposes (namely withstanding a 10 mph accident).

That's pretty amazing given it's high price tag. I wonder how many of those people are street racers prepping to mod those up.

I like the GT-R and it's about time it's coming out.

Don't know if it was modded. I would imagine, the only mods on it, were the cheap knock off rims and the cheap wannabe exhaust.

Gotta remember there aren't a whole lot of them being shipped here. Mossy Nissan in Oceanside, which is a pretty big dealership and one that sells a lot of Z's and Nismo gear, only got 6 GT-R's on the way.

                          I considered a G35 sedan, but went with a 2008 M35. I like the extra space in the M.

Living in Montreal, I see about one of those crap-filled, modded civics about every time I'm on the road. Most of the time the driver is a kid who thinks the fart sounding exhaust is actually impressing. I don't even bother with them though, I'm too busy driving at slow speeds in my Jeep and my BM in the summer.

BTW, I'm liking the new look of the Maxima. Was always a fan of the Maxima/Altima cars from Nissan.

We looked at the M's as well. Wife didn't want a bigger car. She hated our 5 series BMW when we had it. She likes them smaller, and the G felt a bit quicker and more nimble than the M35.

Great car though, I really like the M35 and M45.

Yeah, the G is a little quicker and handles better than the M. But, for a big car, the M is very impressive.
